Did the diode mods last night (finally, I think my diodes were sitting in my tool box for 6 months ?).

10-22 for fogs on at all times.

26-26 for cargo lights on while in reverse.

?

What a few people have not realized, Pink has 27 positions, Pink27 is empty (usually).  They figured that since they "look the same" that they are the same.

I've had my diodes, that I put in my '18,  since I did my diode mods on my '15.  Until I bought my '18, I was thinking about selling them, or just giving them away.

Since the diodes came up on here and its still fresh either of you guys know what the low beam pin is? I want my fogs on with lows, and right now they are on with the high beams. Have gone into tons of threads and haven't found anything solid. Thanks and cheers. Did my reverse and cargo with a cut up paper clip since the diode wouldn't fully seat into one of the pins...

BOLD indicates striped end.  I did what's in blue.

a.        Set all forward-facing white lights ON with hi-beams.  Run 1N4004 diode from hi-beam (BCM-BRN-18) to fogs (BCM-BRN-10). (NOV18)

                From what I remember, lo-beams are BCM-BRN-22.

b.       Set all rear-facing white lights ON with reverse lights.  Run 1N4004 diode from reverse lights (BCM-BRN-26) to cargo lights (BCM-PNK-26). (NOV18)

c.       Set all rear-facing white lights ON with cargo lights.  Run 1N4004 diode from cargo lights (BCM-PNK-26) to reverse lights (BCM-BRN-26). (NOT DOING)

If you want both b & c, then just use a solid wire, keep the shielding on.

d.        Puddle Lights wired to doors. Run 1N4004 diode from Interior Lights (BCM-GRY-1) to Puddle Lights (BCM-GRY-8). (forget which end had the stripe, I think it was GRY-8)  (my ’18 is preset to do this)

With this diode mod, if you turn on the interior lights, your puddles will light up too.  Puddles will not light up if you turn on each individual map light.  The puddles will only light up when you unlock, open any door, or turn on ALL of the interiors using the switch in the overhead console.

My 15's BCM is pictured, with "d" diode mod done.  My 18 looks the same, minus the GRY1-8 diode, as noted on "D."large.5c5e76a61603d_3ModsonChevyBCM.jpg.4e7c7142a597560e1cdc92733b8f61a5.jpg

Was easier to work with the diodes and the connectors with them unplugged from the BCM.  I used the finest tip jeweler's crosstip to work some space in the intended corner of the pin, made working the lead into place a lot easier.

@Ravenkeeper for the win!

Also quick question, what are the purple tap connectors wired to? I didn't see mention of it but I've seen that same picture a lot before in the threads, just dont remember ever reading anything on them.

I believe that that belongs to my remote start.  Both my 15 had and my 18 has it.

Is that a stock remote start? If so, wow, I did not expect them to use vampire clips on an OEM feature. Just curious because my 17 doesn't have them and I have remote start. ?‍♂️
