What have you done to your K2 today?

Yesterday buddy and I went and did some work on the boat trailer. New bearings, brackets, and brakes on the 2 drivers side. Went to do the same on the passenger side and they're still serviceable. I talked about putting brakes on the 3rd axle and now I've got a set to do it with. Old 2 from passenger side will go to rear and then we'll put the remaining 2 new sets in their place. All that's left is to attach the brake line back to the driver's side and check fluid level. Boat might be moved to my buddy's house in the next couple months.

Cleaned off the back porch. 440lbs of crap gone and lots more room. Then drove out to cocoa for fiberglass and related materials for my boat and buddy's boat. It was windy out today.

Also what's this snow stuff? 20191111_110400.jpg

Yeah, that was me on Saturday.  Helped a friend move across town.  We were too busy to take any pictures, we were on a clock, so they could still go to the hockey game that night.

a previous thing I did was swapped in a 220amp alternator (kw5) from a 3500, it's plug-n-play just make sure you get the one with the correct pulley as there is 2 different ones, decoupled and steel

you still have the packaging with a part number?

my 2018 1500 has the decoupled pulley, I used one that goes in a 2018 3500 6.6l, ac delco p/n: 84143541, 23298275 (KW5 220a), these are the same design as the mechman for nearly half the cost, I managed to find one on ebay for $100 (used), rock auto has it for $250, I paid $399 for my 240amp mechman in the 2012 yukon so $100 was a steal

wow 220Amp alternator. can you weld with that thing??

what do you mean "Decoupled"?

a decoupled alternator pulley is something new to me but from what I am able to determine is it works just like a fan clutch, spins a little freely i'm assuming  it's designed to put less strain on the motor at low idle/acceleration.

You confused the heck out of me by quoting my post from another thread in this one lol.  I thought I posted in the wrong thread at first, I don't have a K2 haha.  Yeah I'm "that guy with the truck" so I move stuff for people all the time.  Way more than I ever move stuff around for me.
