What have you done to your K2 today?

i had those Airlift 5000;s on an old suburban. they work great for towing, and height adjustment, but unloaded the ride is brutal. and they kil articulation offroad, yet on the street they feel like a rear swaybar. just depends what your doing!

Both my Air Lift and Ride Rite have a twist on the driver side. Idk why.... tried redo it twice and came out the same. I found that on empty bed, I’m okay with 3-4 psi. I just connect the two sides together. And separate them when I’m towing/hauling.

..lol maybe it's these trucks frame that's not plumb on the drivers side then! .. guess I'll pull the bag and verify the bracket on the surface plate before I call Air Lift ?

.. got my light bar all mounted up.. still need to connect the relay trigger from the high beams but everything else is wired and ready to go.. needed to take a mental break from the drivers side head light plug location before my blood pressure reached thermal runaway ?..I swear you need hands the size of a child to work on these things!

Low profile bar mounts nicely to the grill

Totally camouflaged from the front

If you get right down and look thru the grill you can see the bar

Does your truck have the active grill shutters?  I have been wanting to hide a bar in my grill but just haven't found the right one to use with AGS.

.. yes I have the shutters.. this bar has plenty of clearance where I mounted it - it's only 2" deep and around 1 1/2" tall.

.. got rear air bags in and got some driving time on them now.. ride seems to feel like a little more bounce to it.. running with around 10psi. Not impressed with the fit & finish of this Air Lift kit at all and the drivers side bracket had a slight bend/twist to it so the bag doesn't sit plumb.. no issue with the passenger side. Now the fun part to work issue with Air Lift next week to see if they stand behind their warranty. I chose Air Lift sure to their small footprint and their lifetime warranty on the entire package.. bags & brackets.

That is a nice kit....however always take into account the spec of the bag. Say it says 4" min and 12" then you want to go for somewhere in the middle. I wish they had that same kit with a different top bracket. Then cut out the stock bump stop and install flat to the frame rail. I know it would be far to stretched for most stock height and dangerous for full axle hang. But they also sell billet and even plastic bag pucks so easy to change.
I find it best when truck is unloaded to only have enough air to load the bag and no more. As I have said a rake to the truck also helps. Even if it is the rear up just 1/2".
But i bet you read instructions it says stock to xx lift meaning if bump stop was removed the bag would effectively act like truck has a lift and be more in spec to the range of the bag. Then you can run more air and have good ride.
I did this with mine(different kit) I added a 1" spacer so bag thought it was lowered. This allows for more axle downward travel, less air and best ride quality.
Air bag is a must for me, best mod.

.. ok grabbed a couple night shots in my driveway of my yard.. the tent in the back is probably around 300' or so from where the truck is parked.. zoomed out so you can see it. Definately makes a difference in light output with the bar on..I pulled the relay fuse for the high beam shot without the bar. Not the brightest bar I've had by far but satisfied for a 20" 90W chinese bar that I got on sale $47CDN on Amazon.

.. the install was straight forward.. used a 4 pin fused relay, 16ga power & 18ga control wires.. mounted relay directly behind right headlight with existing plastic plug.. ran all word thru PE split loom for protection.. trigger wire routed across front under plastic trim panel to left headlight and tapped white wire on plug with a Posi-tap (I live in salt belt and these work great).  Pop off the grill - held with 4 10mm socket bolts and pressure clips.. used mounting tabs that came with the light bar to bolt down and used a couple oversized nuts to lift up the bar even with the lower grill opening. Grounded light bar with 16ga using a large bolt behind the bumper (there are plenty back there). Then wait until dark, hit the high beams and aim the bar thru the grill and lock down.

Everything was under 50 bucks each, but you gotta start modding somewhere, I'm just glad to own a GM product now instead of something from Chrysler.7067a18ad4940c969c0365ba68fd0e53.jpg6c6996b25c339c489033b756c55ec24e.jpgd9419fcd76e117ea95caf7333bb9dbd1.jpgd439a96c93429a148f95aa0b1ac258f2.jpgf52db6f7426e0eae0c4b7f63750e0568.jpga9f0a7b1234368ffabd935346c1cbc9a.jpg8b2e6374e99dc04cd170b31b1cc909c6.jpg

Decided to “rebadge” the truck. Removed the Silverado letters and Z71 Decals and installed blacked out Z71 Badges on the doors. Gives it a totally different, CLEAN look. emoji106.pngemoji1786.png

That looks really nice!  Did you have any shadowing left over from the old "SILVERADO" decal?  If so, how did you clean it up?  I removed my Z71 decals to put on black "SILVERADO" decals, but I haven't actually stuck them on yet because of the shadowing.  It's not residue from the 3M tape, but more of a discoloration from the outline of the old badge.  Not sure how to clean this up even better since I'm super anal about stuff like this being perfect before I stick another badge there...

Dewalt 3400 PSI power washer. Mostly chemical guys stuff - soap, dressing. Amazon foam canon.

Clearly you don't have any issues with your foam cannon at such a high PSI?  I bought a kit for myself as well but have been afraid to try 3,100 PSI through the cannon...

.. grabbed a quick shot on the way to work this morning.. hill in distance is about 5 telephone poles ahead.. definately better light output than just the high beams were alone. I still want to add a diode to the trigger wire
