Do these seal it completely? Are they rubber? Seems like salt could still get in but not get rinsed out easily. Not nitpicking, just asking.

My previous truck would get a lot of desert sand in the tubes.  Removed them after about 2 years, no sand.  They’re made of plastic, and fit very snug.  I know a few guys have sealed them in place with RTV or something.

they are plastic not rubber and they are a perfect fit.. need to tap them in with a rubber mallet.. I wiped grease around the tubes and the plug before installing.. I would be quite confident that these are watertight.. and I just had the tubes completely sprayed down with Krown rust control before I installed the plugs

Storm, where did you order those plugs from?

Can’t wait to see those HDX steps once you get them installed.

.. Raven was absolutely correct.. purchased on Amazon for $10.99CAD (Homyl Ltd)

.. if the weather cooperates I'll install the Hdx this weekend.. by that I mean the wife will install them (damn back injury).. I'll just provide the coaching.. gotta love her:thumbs:

IIRC, If you look at the tubes, they have smaller holes down the length of them.

agreed :).. I just meant the caps are sealed and nothing is getting in that way.. the Krown should take care of anything else that finds an alternative entry ( I hope! )

I didn't know the other holes were there until after I put caps on my truck tubes as well, and while installing the air lift system I noticed them. I thought the same thing, hopefully, all the major stuff will stay out.

Not today but I'm terrible at updating. I got my dimondback HD cover installed with crossbin. Thing is amazing, can't tell how good it feels to have a few Gs worth of gun/hunting equipment in the back at times without worry about a break in while I'm grabbin a snack.

Also got a pretty sweet sticker for the truck. Sadly I screwed up with the install and it's slightly crooked.

.. that sucks.. that's quite a downgrade for a rental for 4-6wk

The only plus side is it gets 35mpg in Denver traffic. Can’t complain there. The rest of it sucks.  My 9 yr old daughter even makes fun of it. Lol

New video on my channel, setting up my new rear end so Lone Star Ring and Pinion can do the install. True trac + 3.73s

It’s like a fidget spinner for adults. Not sure why I’m amazed to watch such a heavy piece of machinery spin without effort, but for some reason I watch in awe. Congrats on the new gears and locker.

Cover looks absolutely sweet! The sticker is cool too but would drive me nuts being off axis like that. Your truck is too sweet to settle. Buy a new sticker and line it up right. Your truck deserves it

Hey all new here. Haven't owned a chevy since my 05 cobalt ss. That was a fun car! But with a dad bod comes a truck. This is my 4th in the last 13 years. 2018 silverado 2500hd work truck w/ convenience and tow package. 6.0 gasser w 4.10 diff. I tow a bobcat for work [i do post holes and dirt/trash work] so the truck suits my needs much more than my Ram 1500 i came out of.

Got it less than a month ago but so far I've added rugged liner bed liner and rear wheel well liners, front tints, and nerf bars delivering this week!

Got my steps on couple days ago. Not 100% satisfied so seller will refund me half the price [$60] I can live w them for now, but i want 4" black oval instead. Been looking for a center console, got quoted $600 ? for a '15 black leather one from a local salvage; so the search continues. Would like to paint my stock wheels soon though....

I finally got new meat! The BFG tk02s were great and lasted over 60k miles. So far these Falken wild peak at3w’s have been great. I have noticed that they make much less noise than the BFG.
