The nick, see my tailgate? I was driving when it happened, did it while it was stock height while towing my race trailer, cut corner too tight, had just mounted the tool box on the tongue wasn't used to the new turning radius, I am so mad that I'm not mad...

2 years 2 months and 18 days of parking as far away from other vehicles as possible to avoid nicks and ended up doing this myself with the wand at the car wash.  :sigh: (at least I no longer have to worry about when I'll get the first nick!)

I did the same thing in almost the same spot a few months ago!

I recommend Dr. Colorchip.  It seems like snake oil but I decided to give it a try and believe it or not it works very well.  There also is another company with a similar product called Chipex.

I installed the Hertz ESK 163L.5 for my front stage powered by the Alpine PDR F50 4 channel amp. Bridged the outputs to run 140watts to each channel.
I messed up with the dash speakers. So will end up fabricating the pillars to hold the tweeter and 4” midrange.... eventually. Whenever I have time. Sounds phenomenal. And overall very pleased with the sound. a136f5b183e4aa19f1f28b9e5986eb40.png

Thanks for the recommendations and I'll check those out!

Nice! ? I'm still on the fence about going 3 way up front and as with you I will "eventually" get around to it! Where do you have the tweeter mounted now and were you able to get the 4" in the dash?

Right now the tweeter is on the door on the black piece trim and sits right above the dash when you close the door. No I wasn’t able to get the 4” to sit in the dash. [emoji24] if I had the right tools I might be able to cut into the dash where the factory hole is to make it sit in but right now the magnet is preventing it from sitting due to not enough depth. I’m planning on fabricating the pillars to hold both the 4” and the tweeter so that they’re both facing towards each respective seat. I would say definitely do the 3 way. The sound is just so much more distinctive than the 2 way.

So for now the dash panel piece is just sitting on top with the pillars holding it in place.

Gotcha.Yeah I like the 3 way better as well and if I go that route I would put the tweeters in pods on the dash more on axis (Alpine/ScanSpeak ring radiators) semi active with mids/tweeters on passives.  Just not sure if I want to spend the time doing all that or if I'll just "keep it simple" with a 2 way.

They look good to me. Were you going after the tips to the rear of the truck, or the tips straight up? It's kinda hard to tell exactly from this picture, and all the medication I'm on. LOL
