oil cooler lines leaking

Recommended Posts

Yep, same here, 07 gmt900. Went to dealer for oil change last week ( 2 degrees outside). And the tech shows me the seeping lines, wanted $600 for trans lines and $400 for oil lines, thanked him for the notice and got the hell out of there. Googled the leaking lines and see it is common in freezing temps. Ordering new lines about $110 in parts, and will do when it warms up a little.

Every GM I've owned in the last 20 years with that type of line has leaked to some extent. 1994 Buick, 1998 K1500, 2002 Yukon. Apparently sometime after 1969 the technology to make a rubber hose with a crimped fitting that didn't leak was lost.

I had a '94 Silverado that continually had leaky lines...my trick was to get them to replace it under warranty every 11 months. I had them changed 6 times that way.

Our 2014 Z71 transmission Died after colliding w 2 deer (MT) and the Tranny shop said no deer couldve caused repair needs. However, he replaced this exact part, AFTER telling Insurance they shouldn't cover the $6k rebuild ?  Can someone offer solution? I believe with all the Rad and Headlight damage, this cooler line may have caused Torque and tranny to cease ?? Please Help.

You need to start new thread.  This thread was for oil cooling line, not tranny.  Need to start your own thread.
