I didn't install the shackles myself (to lazy and live in apts) but the shop told me the trailer hitch if you have one will have to come down to get the bolts out of the shackles, They charged me $100 bucks for complete install. Let me know if you have any other questions.

$100 for installing shackles on a 2014 is a deal on ur part. At least on my truck- Sierra CC 4wd- the top bolt is a pain in the ass, or was, since the bed turn down lip had to be cut almost completely flat. I tried bending it, notching it, then finally had to cut it. On a lift it wouldn't be so bad, but I don't have one anymore, so on ur back it's a pain, reaching up, around leaf springs, etc. at one point I contempt plated just removing the whole bed, and I would've in my old shop, but didn't have a way to lift bed.

Now on the block- my trucks sits higher then 3/4 inch in the back...more like 1.5-2", so I went ahead an ordered the leaf springs too. McGaughys told me that it takes 4" rear drop for flattened stance( @ 0* rake).

I did the spring seat 2" drop, and left out the bump stop holder cup thingy******. Which btw they don't suggest doing....so I ended up with a tad more then 2" lower in the front especially if driving it hard into corners or hard braking.

*****. And to answer those questions- in theory it shouldn't effect ride height, it's there to create a solid point for bump stop cone to ride during strut compression. In theory that is... I'll post a pic of it. But I'm going to need the full 4" of the leafs and shackles to flatten out my truck.

Nice truck, please post pictures of your suspension lowering job if you have time. Doing the exact same thing with a Denali 4wd. Did you look into Bell Tech components? Again if you find time thank you. Good choices on your color and wheels.
