Is there a way to turn off the auto dimming outside mirror on the 2014 or has anyone disconnected it?

no, is there a fuse just for dimming of outside mirror or will i also not have turn signals in the outside mirros if i pull the fuse ?

The manual just states that it comes on when the vehicle is started. I am looking to find away around the mirror dimming down all the time or at all. i want to tint my windows but i am afraid with the tint and the dimming it may be just to dark to see anything in the mirror.

My windows are tinted and I haven't noticed an issue with the side mirrors at night due to dimming.

I have noticed that the interior lighting reflecting off of me then on the side window at night making it harder to see out the side window. Even dimming the lights way down and the "ghost" of myself is still glaring at me in the drivers side window.

Speaking of the outside mirrow, what's the tint/film it for? Is that part of the autodimming feature?

I have an auto dimming inside and driver's side outside mirror on my truck, and I also have tinted front windows. I ahve no problems seeing clearly from either mirror at night. In fact I find auto dimming mirrors to be a great feature that I really like. I also have an auto dimming inside mirror in my Impala LTZ but not the outside driver's mirror.

the sensor is on the rear view mirror, it will take much brighter lights to dim the mirrors with tinted windows. My truck for example has 5% tint all around and the mirrors will not dim unless I open the rear sliding window with someone with behind me since they are so dark. The dimming feature will adjust with your tint.
