2014+ Truck Bed / Tonneau Covers

Recommended Posts

G4 elite owners,

Does this fit with the factory rail caps installed or do you have to modify/cut them to get the striking plates to attach to the bed?

UPDATE:

From foldacover,

The G4 Elite was designed to fit right over top of your plastic rail caps.

The spray-in bedliner is not thick enough to interfere with installation

I actually ordered a Leer Trilogy the other day from a local dealer after seeing pictures of it installed on other 2014/2015 GM trucks.

I am looking to buy this tonneau as well. Just curious what it costed?

Dealer was selling it for $800.00 and there is/was a coupon on Leer's site for $50.00 off. This is US dollars and I see you are in Canada, so I am uncertain what the pricing is.

Didn't see it. Good?

Looks nice, but did more checking tonight and the reviews aren't too good. I'm thinking the Pace-Edwards Bed-Locker. Might as well get the best. I kept my last truck 15 years and no way I'll put the miles on this one I did that one being retired now. This may very well be the last truck I ever buy so I might as well go for it!

Yep. I know where you're coming from.

I'm 60 years old this January, and, although I'm in great shape for my age (a fitness addict) I figure I'll be into my 70's (gulp!) before I turn in this truck for God Know's what. So, I bought the Pace Edwards.

I just ordered GM's P.N. 22892012 Bed Rug Kit for 2015 GMC Sierra 6.6 Bed, and a set of molded GMC Mud Guards, front and rear. The GMC Bed Rug was a little less $$$ than the BedRug's version, and the GMC Mudguards look "ex-factory/"

Pace Edwards ("PE") Full Metal Jack Rabbit: Unlike Retrax and TCUSA, PE does not use double-walled aluminum for their all aluminum cover. That doesn't mean it's bad, but it's probably not as good as double-walled. Also, RollNLock A-Series does not use double-walled aluminum either. (Picture coming later).

Your lack of profile information doesn't lend much credibility to your comments. Even though you may well be correct. But my first thought is you are a dealer and Pace-Edwards isn't one of your products and you may well be biased. Just my first impression and I may be wrong, but I'll bet I'm not the only one who feels this way............JFYI.

You are incorrect, but close. I'm not a dealer, but I have a good friend that is. I'm still waiting for the RollNLock A-Series picture from him. They do carry PE, but they are not as popular as the other brands.

O.K. I'm listening. Why isn't PE as popular? They have a good reputation. Which one is considered the absolute best? They are all close in price so I want the best one even if it cost a little more. I'm not looking at the PE Jack Rabbit. I'm interested in the PE BedLocker. Is there a difference besides one being electric? (I'm going to their web-site now to see if I can find that answer myself.)

O.K. so it appears the PE Jack Rabbit and the BedLocker have the same panels. Although they are not double walled, they still look pretty substantial. Does TCUSA manufacture their own covers or have them made by somebody else?

I think I want the powered cover. I'm back and forth on that feature. I definitely want one that is metal, powder coated and that rolls up and can also be locked. I appreciate the help/information TruckDaddy............you still need to post a little more profile info!
