2014+ Truck Bed / Tonneau Covers

Recommended Posts

The sit on top folding covers are probably quickest to remove when necessary, like the SolidFold 2.0

Anything with rails may take a bit longer to remove.

Most access without removing is probably the rolling type that store in a canister at the front of the bed, or the flip up type that you can lean against the window.

Most are easy to load even when left on as you can slide 4x8 sheets in from the tailgate until you reach the bottom of the cover.

If you need to do pallet loads or stack higher than the sides of the bed then buy the one that is easiest to take off.

Diamondback bed covers are what I use. You can look at my profile and the pics I have of one on my truck. A bit pricey,  but well worth the money. I went with the HD one.

I just looked those up and they are pretty dang cool and just what I was looking for but dang 1.7 to 2k is pretty steep

Yes, but after having others, I won't have anything else. It truly is the most secure, I can stack on top, tie down, walk on it, etc... plus they look badass. Well wort the money. Also, keep an eye out in the outlet area - they appear to have a couple out there now that might fit your truck and the discounts are cheap, same warranty and for example they have a HD one for 600 bucks off.

For anyone wondering, yes, it is possible to have a headache rack, a tonneau cover, and a toolbox all at the same time! I just finished building this rack and it works great.

Do you mind sharing which cover that is?

I am in the same boat, trying to find the right cover. I think there are lot of good deals but I found best even few dollars saving means a lot at TAP. I am more into Hard fold cover bur would be open to good review people have mention here. If you use the code at checkout, it save you up to 15% off. NOt sure if anyone else has better offer.

With a toolbox?

On their website the toolbox trifecta 2.0 is only offered for 6.6 and 8ft beds.

Ah, no...didn't pick up you wanted a toolbox as well, just that you couldn't find a trifecta 2.0 for a 5'8" bed. My bad.

This is expensive, but looks like a great unit:  https://stowecargo.com/product/2-in-1-tonneau-cover-and-tool-box/

Ahh yea toolbox friendly as well.

That's an interesting solution.

I really do hate this dang 5'8 bed. I tried so hard to get a standard bed with the 6.2 but couldn't find a single one local

  • 3 weeks later...

I put the Truxedo X15 on my 2019 AT4.  I LOVE the look of it.  VERY low profile and cloth/convertible top looking instead of the vinyl. Installed in less than an hour, easy to use and I’ve had it in heavy rain and snow and it’s still dry.
