2014+ Truck Bed / Tonneau Covers

Recommended Posts

I like mine (Retrax Pro) and search around/contemplated many include fiberglass covers. Elected to go with the Pro and purchased it direct from Retrax, managing to negotiate it down to wholesale cost. Took about to hours to install. Easy, Efficient, works great.

The one I am looking on Craigslist is a 'Fold a Cover' G4 Elite Cover & Caddy Bundle | 07-13 GM Silverado/Sierra 5ft 8in bed (GM4924+PC0). For $250, I think I might be able to make it work if the stake pockets are similar.

I think I am going to get the Elite G4 or whatever it's called. I like the idea of it being hard and locking. They want $1200 for it and the caddy I believe.. I wish they were a little cheaper, and somewhere I could buy locally..

Got the retrax pro installed today. Review coming in a week or so.

Now all I need is my exhaust tip (9 weeks and counting).

Had my Retraxpro a couple of weeks and all is great. Car wash twice no leaks and smooth going back and forth.

I believe I will be in a new sierra very soon, and was wondering if a 2013 short bed tonneau will fit the 2014 short bed. I currently have a Tonno Pro Lo-Roll Cover. The part numbers online are different, however I was wondering if anyone has any insight without me having to take it off and try fitment. If it doesn't fit, I will most likely just trade it in with the 2013. Thanks in advance!

Meh. We have had many people try to swap here at work. They just don't fit right. The bed rail caps are taller than the previous ones and the rail width is different. The only GM cover I have seen that works to an extent is the soft tri-fold. Trade it with the truck IMO.

I transferred my tri-fold from my 2013 6.5' bed to my 2014 6.5' bed. It fits good side to side but it could stand to be an inch longer (story of my life). It doesn't bother me enough to spend another $300 on a new one as it does its job keeping to bed covered and dry.

The Retrax Pro is very nice and heavy duty. I didnt know about this one when I got the Retrax (basic model) but I like mine very much. It is about $600 - $800 less. I had Retrax punch out the holes in their rails to match the holes in the truck bed rail. They did this without any additional cost. This way I could set up wood brackets in the truck bed holes to carry a canoe etc. without removing the Retrax System.

I was wondering if Retrax would do the same thing on the Retrax Pro? Do you know how heavy it is? If I ever need to get another one, I would get this one.

Nice top.
