2014+ Intakes (CAI) & Air Filters

Recommended Posts

I had it installed on my truck with a 2in level up front. No issue..

Level wouldn't matter as it's only suspension. Mine has a body lift which means the cab is now 1.5" higher on the frame and I'm wondering if the fender air intake will line up now.

Thanks for your interest in our new cold air intake kit for the 2014 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 5.3L (part number 75-5069). This intake is currently in development. We expect to have this kit released late in the summer of 2014. The cost of the kit will be $299 and will be available with a dry or cleanable filter.

We will provide you updates as we get closer to launching this product. You can reply to this email at anytime for an update or with any question. You can also visit our R&D section on our website for updates.

Thanks for your support.

Well the emails to Airaid paid off...I got this response from Airaid today regarding the MIT tube.

Any feedback on production of a MIT for 2014 Silverado 6.2?

"Thank you for your inquiry. That kit is currently in development and we are hoping to have it done in the near future. I will add your email to my follow up folder for when more information is available. If we can further assist you please contact us at 800-498-6951 or at my direct line below."

I believe they are all the same but some of the pros I like about the S&B are:

1. Enclosed box/filter

2. MAF sensor location

3. Fit / Finish & their QC

4. Dry filter option

Here is a link to what it will look like for the 2014+ 5.3/6.2L

I installed the Volant intake about two months ago and wanted to pass along the review. Super easy install, looks great, and sounds super mean when you get on it. Problem is that when towing it's completely annoying. It's a drone in the cab the whole time. If you tow a lot I would really recommend not getting one.
