Radio Reception Issues

Recommended Posts

reception is only one of the issues unfortunately

I did lose the screen to black a few times on the '14 haven't run into that w/ the 16 yet. Besides that I never have had any issues w/ the infotainment system that I can recall. My wife has a 2014 Mazda 6 and while it has better reception the bluetooth for the phone pretty much blows.

The '14 didn't really have any 'issues' beyond what I mentioned. The headlights we're a freaking joke, the TCCM chirped, besides that I had zero complaints beyond the paper thin paint GM put on it. The '16 has the TCCM whine/chirp, I might grab some dynomat and fix it but, for now I just turn the radio up.

That sucks. Too far upside down to dump it eah?

If I really work, I could probably dump it, even if I take a hit, but I just havn't had enough time to work different dealers. I should have more time in the next couple weeks or so, and I am going to try. Probably going to get a RAM, too nervous with the Ford Aluminum Bodies, I talked to the ower of the shop i use when I need stuff done, and he says it takes 2x as long to work on, and costs 2x as much to fix. Tundra's seem fairly good, but I have heard that the audio is really quiet, so I would need to add an amp, I've also heard negative things about road noise, steering feel, and it gets the worst fuel economy of any brand.

Realistically I don't need a truck, I just want one (although I do use the bed more than I though I would), and like them, so everything about them matters to me lol, thats why I have a crew cab with tons of options

I test drove a RAM I just didn't care of it, very noisy and cheap plastic interior however, it was probably their equivalent to an LS or a base LT. Lots of folks seem to like 'em, bottom line for me was it was too tall to fit in my garage so it got scratched from the list. At the time Ford was still making steel body trucks, (fall of 2013) but, their STX model was what was in my price range and once again cheap cheap cheap interior, looked cool on the outside though but, the truck they put me in was the 3.7 V6 which really isn't suited for truck use IMO.

Good luck, sucks yours is a problem child, I've had two K2's so far and I'd buy a third in a heart beat.

Once Chrysler was bought by FIAT, they actually have become a pretty good vehicle. Im looking to get out of my POS Silverado for a RAM Larime

I see a lot of Rams around here and they do look pretty nice. At least you know the radio should be better (but the Chevy car radios receive better than the trucks, so you know what to look for). Good luck.
