Im about to install my rough country 2.5 leveling kit and now that you posted you were able to fit the 285/65/20 bfg ko2s I am very interested in those now. Where did you put your zip ties, any pics of this process? How are these tires with fuel mileage and longevity?

There's one truck on this thread running BFG KO2 285/65R20 (34.59x11.22) and another running TOYO AT2 Extreme 295/55R20 (32.78x11.61). That's over 1.5" in height difference and less than 1/2" in width difference.

The 285/65 looks really close and has pulled the liner back with zip ties...claims no rub after that. My fear would be any body flex in an offroad situation would cause that tire to hit the rear bottom of the front fender.

The 295/55 claims rub at full lock but no liner rub.

I'm guessing the 285/65 doesn't have swaybar rub because it's a little narrower and BFGs tend to run narrower, with little bulge to their tire. The TOYO is probably rubbing the swaybar because it's a little wider and bulges more, plus the Extreme has raised cleats on the sidewall.

Seems every truck is a little different and tire manufacture stated sizes are not the same as mounted sizes.

I had a 14 Silverado with a 2.5 Rc level. 275 65 20 Mickey Thompson atz p3s on 20mm offset fuel Mavericks and it would rub only in reverse at full lock. Zip ties would have fixed it. I was getting 16.5-17 mpg with that... People on here are talking about gas mileage. 16 mpg with 34 inch tires is very impressive if you ask me!!!!!

I'm running 275/65r18 Nitto G2 on stockers and have plenty of room. 285s are known to fit every truck with a level without rub...some are running them on stock suspension without issue. Post up pics when you get your new shoes.

You should be able to get a 4" and 33" in a standard garage door. To be sure, next time you drive in your garage, stop when your OnStar antenna is under the garage threshold and measure. With 2.5" level and the tires above, I have about 5.5" of clearance left.

Thanks to this thread, I pulled the trigger on the 285/65/20 BFGs! There is some rub at full lock, though I haven't experienced it while driving. I will zip tie when I do, or move to a wheel with an offset that will push them out a bit. Love the stance and ride with about 50 miles on them!

Hey I'm new and I have been looking at everyone's pics, I have a 3inch leveling kit on my 2015 Silverado and honestly it's huge, it's gotta be at least 3 1/2! I have had a few silverados leveled out and this leveling kit ( forgot the brand but 56$ off eBay) is by far the best one! I just bought a set of 285/65/20s for my high county rims and I absolutely love them! This is my third set of tires on my truck because I get bored but I think these are a keeper. First set was 35x12.50x17 nitto trail graps then 35x10.50x17 SSRs made by super swampers and I have had never had any rubbing at all because this kit is so high! Let me know what you think with the new bfg ko2s. Thanks!
