Pics are uploaded. Spent the day removing grill and colour matched that and the bow tie. Also got my AMP Research running boards on & working - first and hopefully last power running board install - PHEW!

The chrome inserts come right out, snap clips. I just had a hard time trying to trade with someone for black. To get it unsnapped u would need to remove the entire grill.

I bought the oem grill. Replaced it. And sold the one off the truck for the same amount. Cost me nothing. I can't bring myself to plastidip a 47k dollar truck.

I don't think plasti dip is that bad of a product. Putting it on your grill tho may be a pain in the butt to get off later down the road.

Here is a cheaper option which only takes seconds to do.

 

I have the black grille and would like a chrome grille which I am under a tight budget. So I ended up getting a 2014 Chevy Silverado CHROME Snap On Grille Overlay Grill Trim Insert. It cost $99 and took seconds to install. It doesn't stick out too far at all and very hard to notice the difference from an original chrome grille. It looks good and life time on the chrome appearance. This way if I get tried of the chrome, I can always go back to the black grille once I figure out how to take the chrome one off. I guess the easy way to remove the chrome grille is to take the same route to replace the entire grille so you can push on the plastic pins/clips. All the grilles (original etc.) are made out of plastic. I like it so far. Sorry I didn't see any black snap on grilles.

They have grilles for WT and LT that don't have the chrome grilles. They also make the LTZ which is a different grille. All the grilles are at $99.

Still wasn't zero if you add the packing, shipping and going to the post office etc.. LOL Plus I could also go back to black if I get tried of chrome for free with only a few minutes of labor cost. There was only a few seconds of labor time to install this item. There is more labor time (cost) to remove and install a different grille as noted in your instructions. If you don't do it yourself, the Chevy Dealer's cost would be a lot and the owner's time and gas cost to bring it to the dealers to get the work completed.
