Weld rims and the brake clip?

Recommended Posts

The clips just hold your rotors on during assembly. The stock wheels have a little cut out on the back side that allows them to stay on there when the wheel is on. Most aftermarket wheels mount flat against the rotor and don't have the cut outs. If you don't remove them, the aftermarket wheels will crush them and not let them seat flush against the rotor.  Might give you a vibration at speed, not really sure though.  If you've had the rotors removed for a brake job or something, the clips are already gone.
