2014+ Lowering / Drop Kits

You and I have pretty much the same rear set up I wonder why you are experiencing vibration I didn't add shims or spacers and I don't have vibration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Took my truck to a Goodyear shop thats has good people. The caster eccentrics are jacked up, loose and one of the pins fell out; and the rear is offset, i.e., dog walking. So basically the install was completely jacked up.

They didn't want to try to fix it so I'm hoping that my local dealership can un-jack this for me.

On the front, one of the pins for the eccentric fell out and apparently just all around looseness. So all that was fixed.

Put the trans spacer back in. Left the 4* shims in with fat side forward.

Alignment, road force balance.

I think the shudder I felt in the gas pedal @ ~30mph was due to the front end issues. I think the truck would ride fine with or without the shims.

Driveshaft shortening was a must.

Now on to forced induction :D

Seems like most r shortening the shaft but y? Does it bind really bad? And how much was it shortened? I lowered my 13 CC 4/7 with no issues. Want to lower my 14 CC 5/7.

With the kit installed, I was unable to remove the driveshaft with the suspension loaded. Shortened 1.5".

What's an average cost to shorten it?

My truck has developed leaf spring noise when going over uneven surfaces, at first thought there was something loose but everything is torqued to specs the noise seems to be coming from the flip kit also been thinking of going with air shocks I hate the way it rides with the belltech drop shocks, too stiff. I've lowered pretty much all trucks I've owned and never had any of the issues I'm having with this one.

I liked the ride with air shocks but they didn't last long. I don't know what happened to them.

I've got Vikings installed now and very happy.

I have heard there are issues with the rear shackles on the 14's. the bolt and hole aren't the exact fit for each other and the shackles are rocking on the bolt and making noises. I have shackles only on my truck and I am experiencing these noises.

I dont believe that. The bolts size hasnt changed nor has the shackle holes. If you do not fold the bed seam, it will rub and have a god aweful squeak.
