2014+ Exhaust Systems & Mufflers

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the drone exists, or is as bad, with the V6 after installing a new system? I'd like to get a system and forget about the flapper but it seems everyone refers to experience with the V8....

I have a flowmaster 40series single in single out on my v6, the flapper and old muffler were deleted everything else stayed. Just a very slight drone and is not super loud.

I don't think staying stock is possible once you join a forum lol

That's why I steer clear of threads where people talk about their wives/gfs. I don't need that sort of temptation, I'm quite conent with what I have now.

I knew you couldn't resist...

REV

Yeah, I know. I saw my son's 2010 Silvy with the Corsa yesterday and heard it again...and then I was looking at mine again while fixing one of the LEDs on my AMP PowerSteps...big muffler, flapper, resonator...and then AutoAnything kept sending me emails about sales! And then they price matched...and I'm using the Range AFM delete...and then I rode in wife's T/A with Corsa and that nice sound at 80 mph...too much pressure...haha (no more excuses...)

Couldn't take it any more...?

Has anyone moved the flapper upstream/before the muffler and delete resonator?

Not sure why anyone would go through the hassle and cost to do this. It would sound pretty close to stock. Just clamp open the flapper valve or get it removed. The difference it makes is noticeable but not anywhere near being too loud.

Ask me how I know.

My truck is a great example of that lol

Hey guys I have a question for re doing the entire exhaust system

I'm looking to redo everything with larger tubing, long tube headers and catback with the most aggressive sound and best performance possible. What product/combos would you recommend? (Sites would be handy but keep in mind I live in canada). Also a recommendation on a good high flow catalytic converter would be great.

Right now I have a stock exhaust with the stock muffler replaced with a flow master super 10 and love it but live in a salty area and am looking to replace everything I can with stainless steel parts for help with rust.

I have a short bed 2014 silverado z71 with the 5.3

(I am aware this may have already come up but I don't wanna read 80 pages of comments)

So the 14" magnaflow is plenty loud with the 3rd converter left intact, so gonna keep it like that. However, not fully sold on the location of the tips. Opinions? Leave it where it is or move it to exit behind rear tire in stock locstion?

Corsa installed !d80d094965e7a8803205b0c9d1f6c01f.jpg

How do you like the Corsa so far? What kind did you get, Sport or Xtreme? I'm looking into them, and I'm liking them more than the Borla alternative.

How's cruising with it? I want something that'll be more aggressive when accelerating and idling, but for the amount I drive, I still want to be able to not go insane. Guess I'm too picky.

Kind of hesitant to admit it bout I bought the DBL cab V6. It does everything I need and it's feels a lot better than I thought it would. Any suggestions on an exhaust or will they all sound cheap at higher RPM's? I've seen videos and they sound good at idle but I'm not sold on how will sound in V4 mode or even V6 at higher RPM's...... That in advance fellas. (I've had fully loaded V8's in the past but didn't feel like shelling out the extra cash this go around. I have a few other irons in the fire at the moment.....)
