2014+ Exhaust Systems & Mufflers

Recommended Posts

Guys I'm curious. I'm looking at the Jones or aeroturbine at3030. My goal is a semi loud exhaust. Not annoying or racy but gutsy. I've listened to a few clips and I think it sounds good. A few ?s though..... Will adding a muffler do anything to my warranty. I assume any any exhaust work needed will be void but anything else. Also I know removing the resonator can give the helicopter sound which I have read isn't that annoying plus I drive in m4 or m5 unless on the highway. So given that curious if I should remove the resonator or not. https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=_sLlX0nklt4https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=yOmUFYQ1uuM

I have an aero turbine 3030 with flapper and resonator removed ran through the stock piping with an aero exhaust tip at the end. Cold starts are loud but mellows out as the truck warms up. It's an expensive muffler but the quality and sound you get is amazing. It has a deep aggressive tone without being obnoxious and the in cab noise is perfect to me. I highly recommend the turbine mufflers!

So close to pulling the trigger but am hesitant with all of the "Drone" talk. I want to go 14" Magnaflow with Resonator and Flapper delete. I had this on my 09, and my 2012 F150, but this whole flapper valve ordeal....

I have the 14" magnaflow and love it. The drone is next to none at most cruising speeds unless you're at 70+. But I hardly notice it.

I've had an exhaust on every truck i've owned so it just seems normal to me. These trucks are so quiet though, that it's not as pronounced as previous models.

You have both the flapper and resonator removed, and are you running single in/single out, or single in/dual out??

I removed everything from the third cat on. Cut out that cat and replaced everything with 3" pipe and a 14" magnaflow. Single in/ Single out. 3" all the way out.

If I had to do it over I wouldnt even bother with the flapper. My truck sounds and drives awesome.

I added an Airaid MIT w/ K&N filter as well. Good combo with the exhaust.

This is mine. Put some good headphones on and it will give you a good idea.
That chopper sound is a little louder sounding in the driving video than it is in person. I don't even notice it with the radio on, even at low volumes.

But all-in-all it's a fantastic set up.
