K20and2500HD
i have a db muffler that I took off of my 2009 HD that I was thinking of having a muffler shop take off my factory exhaust and put this muffler on and run new pipe or pipes out the side or both sides. what do you guys think? Will the muffler for my 6.0L work for my 6.2L? (Will it drone?) I am providing a picture with my leveling kit and 295/55/20 Nitto's cause I havent yet haha. Tell me what you think? Chris
When I talked to Corsa they insisted that their "whole system" is tuned and if the muffler placement or bends are different the sound will be different than intended
zactech
I can't seem to find any cat backs for 2014 crew cab standard bed, it's the 6'6" box. I would prefer tips coming out behind rear wheels. Anybody know if the 15269 Magnaflow will work on my truck? I found one made by Gibson but I'm in Canada and can't buy from them. Any help would be appreciated. K20and2500HD
Thanks, didn't want to waste the time and money if it wasn't going to work. I am just tired of waiting for Borla or corsa to come out with the exhaust for the 6.2L. I don't understand why GM put such a wimpy sounding exhaust on a 420 hp beast, but thats my opinion....... saleen347
After driving my truck all weekend with the new exhaust I've learned that with the Volant CAI and Magnaflow it rarely goes into V4 which I'm fine with. But when it does the drone can get loud. Nothing obnoxious but it's noticeably different from stock.
andythefiredog
Can anyone definitively say whether cutting out the 3rd cat will void the warranty? Are the gains in flow enough to justify the "risk" of taking it out? Still trying to decide between the Magnaflow 18 or the FlowMaster 70 series. anthony2558
I think chopping up the exhaust and removing cats will def void certain aspects of your warranty. For example : if your engine had a mechanical breakdown, blown head, or something along those lines they could probably say it was do to you removing the cat/ or modifications to the stock exhaust. If your brakes went out they probably couldn't blame it on you modifying your exhaust. Its a gamble as far as warranty goes, and how much your dealer wants to be a thorn in your arse. Btreyu09
Putting exhaust on your truck will not void any part of your warranty except the parts you take off. If you take your truck to a dealer and they try and say exhaust caused it take it somewhere else..

anthony2558
Not really. Its an aftermarket part. Your dealer has every right to refuse work on your vehicle if they can prove in writing that the modification you made was the direct cause of your warranty claim. if you choose to modify your car, and If it turns out that your modifications are the cause of the problem, the dealer has every right not only to charge you for the diagnosis and repair, but to also void the portion of the warranty that has been compromised by the use of those aftermarket parts. Likewise, a dealer may refuse to service your car if it is adorned with aftermarket parts to the extent that its technicians cannot reasonably be expected to diagnose what is wrong with your car. I'm not trying to scare anyone away from getting an exhaust. I'm putting on Corsa soon. What I am telling you is that dealerships can, if need be, void certain aspects of your warranty, if they can prove that the direct cause of your warranty claim is the sole responsibility of your modification. Btreyu09
I understand what you're saying but like I said, putting exhaust on your car will not cause anything major to go wrong. You're not going to blow a head gasket, spin a rod, or blow a trans by putting exhaust on. That is what I am trying to say.
