Isn't there a Corsa piece like this in the FS section? Might be 3.5" though.

I'm thinking of taking my Dynomax Catback (with Flowmaster muffler) off and putting something else on.

Yeah it is 3.5". How long ago did you order the magnaflow kit? Jw to compare to below...

I got the Dynomax pipes but it took me two months from when I ordered them until I had them both. I ordered the intermediate pipe from Summit and found the tailpipe on eBay. Also, I put an 18" Magnaflow on mine and I wouldn't go any shorter without the Dynomax extension pipe (51075) because you won't have enough pipe to clamp onto.

Interesting... How long ago did you order? I have been trying to piece it together like you did too but tail pipe was backordered 5-6 weeks and now backordered another "60-90 days". So went to buy a kit from Jegs and it is now saying the kit is back ordered too....... Can't win, pretty frustrating since I have this brand new magnaflow muffler and corsa tip sitting in my office. Really wanting to go with stainless mandrel bent!

Without searching all these posts has anyone on here run the 3.5" system Gibson makes for the 6.2 trucks? I have MBRP on my 2015 right now and this junk might make it another year or two before it has holes in it...... that's how bad it's rotting. It's embarrassing on a truck that otherwise looks great underneath except for this shitty exhaust. I am looking for an alternative to this and want something that isn't constructed from T409...... T304 is where it is at. Now Gibson says their tips are T304 but just say "stainless" for the tubing and muffler..... so what grade is it made from?

I'd love an exhaust that sounds as good as my old Corsa did on my '05. Deep and quiet at idle and under light throttle, louder at cold start and under heavy acceleration, but not obnoxious. I'm hoping the GM-Borla system is similar.

Borla is quiet. Get 14" magnaflow. IMO sounds very similar to Corsa, but better. Just my opinion.

I'd look at different exhausts but I don't want the chopper chase soundtrack. I also don't want to get rid of AFM because I've seen it work on the highway. Plus, I'm going to be leasing so I'm not sure how they'd take to a chopped up exhaust come return time.

I had the same experience with delays and canceled orders back in December and January. If you order the kit order the VT one as the ultra flo is about as hard to find as the tailpipe. Keep an eye on eBay though as they do pop up every once in a while. Edited April 15, 2016 by je1279

I had a Dynomax Race Bullet on my 07,11, and 14 silverado. They were all the 12" body length. This time, I'm wanting something quieter on my 2016 5.3 silverado. I'd like to have similar tone as race bullet (deep) just on quieter scale. What suggestions do you have?

I'd go either 14" dynomax ultra flo welded or 14" magnaflow (oval body). Either of those should give you the sound you are looking for.

Thanks. I'll look at both. Which size magnaflow oval (4x9, 5x8)? Is the 2.5" inlet/outlet recommend?

I went with an 18" 4x9 center/offset 3" on mine but I replaced the pipes with 3" dynomax pipes. If your just replacing the muffler you will probably need to take it to a shop as they will need to add some pipe due to the difference in length vs stock. I would recommend 3" since the stock pipe is 2.75" but which size oval would depend on which lines up better with the stock piping.

I would say mine sounds just like that now that it is broken in....

22" Maggie but the headers give it a nice raspy pop..

Left my gopro at home but il try to get some videos of how it sounds now.

I may want to step down to a 18"....i kinda miss being a little loud. Lol

I was able to find and order the Dynomax VT kit (38531). Swapping the muffler and using the 14" Magnaflow 4x9 center/offset. Sounds like we are doing the same thing just different length Magnaflow.

Should be at the doorstep by the time I get home today...

Enjoy and let us know how you like it. I disabled V4 after I installed mine (drove me nuts on the highway) but once I did that I loved it.
