2014+ Exhaust Systems & Mufflers

Recommended Posts

You mind letting me know where you got this done? Another Lubbock guy here. Thanks!

Sure thing! It was at University Muffler on 34th Street near Memphis.

It's across the street from Sunset Church of Christ.

Can't see a reason to go nuts on stainless I'll only own the truck for five years and I think it should stay intact that long! Besides my buddy can chrome the piping for me for free is I so desire.

Kinda different for me since i own all my vehicles until they die lol

My colorado has 168K miles on it and it had a Gibson catback but it was starting to rust so i went 3" stainless to a magnaflow 24" i think it is.

God lord i love my volant. It sounds WAYYYYY better then i expected it to.

Amd stainless to boot.....showing a tad of surface rust but that was about 400miles of salted roads i drove on so ill polish her up real nice.

Idk if i want the corsa tip that volant is growing on me. Lol

I have read through all these pages but i haven't found any one running headers with no cats...

Does anyone have any sound clips of an exhaust with some type of aftermarket muffler or full exhaust system

I have a 2016 6.2 and i have the american racing 1 7/8 long tubes with no cats... and its a bit too quiet... not looking for real loud just a bit more I'm surprised how much it didn't change eliminating the 3 cats...

Installed a magnaflow muffler couple days ago. Had the guy remove the AFM and last cat back there as well. I love the sound it produces but the drone is borderline unbearable. I wanted a new 3" pipe from the muffler back but the guy didn't listed and welded in new pipe (stock size) where needed.

Would this make the drone louder than on a 3" system? Not real happy with the piece meal job I got so I'm looking to replace it with what I originally wanted.

Not sure i can help you here but the majority of drone is produced in V4 mode and if the muffler is chambered it will amplify the drone.

Everyone has a opinion of what is loud and what is too loud. I have a 2014 SS camaro with a cat back american thunder flowmaster system which came on the car when i bought it. In V4 mode it was similar to driving on the rumble strip at 60mph. Freaking unbearable!!!! needless to say i got a SCT tuner disabled the AFM and a custom tune, And now i love it.
