2014+ Exhaust Systems & Mufflers

Recommended Posts

This is what I am planning on having my local shop do but not a true dual setup. I love angle on how the exhaust exits with the black tips. Doing a 3" Aero Turbine Y pipe with 2.5" pipes. I loved the Aero Turbine on my '05 5.3L so I am sticking with that.

No issue with drone on my truck. I read a lot of reviews on this system from all the websites that sold it then pulled the trigger. I did go to napa and buy some heavier duty exhaust clamps to replace the cheaper ones that it came with. Also you can pull the stock system out in one piece, just jack up your truck to create a little more room. That way for some crazy reason if you dont like the gibson you can send it back and put stock back on. Anyways im happy with it so far and i just ordered the kicker soundgate audio upgrade so ill give a review on that after i install it. Good luck

Appreciate the help. I went ahead and ordered it last night. Can't wait to get it on and hear it.

You will be happy with the single. Had that on my 09 GMC and really liked it. The dual sport is a little louder but not annoyingly so, you can just barely hear it at highway cruising speeds. Honestly if I were to do it over I would go back to the single.

I got my tail pipe done like that and love it. I only have a single, but it's nice to have it hidden. I wish it was black though. That would be awesome.

That is what made me fall in love. Doing the exact setup and my exhaust guy quoted me $475 OTD. Not too bad.

Are you doing single or double? I've never had a magnaflow before, but idk why i hadn't had them before. I love it!

I am going with a 3030 (3") Aero Turbine muffler with a Y pipe setup with duals. I don't know if I will be doing 2.5" or 2.25" from the muffler back but my exhaust guy will know what we will sound the best. I am still trying to find black chrome exhaust tips like that.

I had a 3030 Aero on my '05 and loved it. I had it a single dump right before the rear passenger tire with 3" all the way back. It was throaty and deep and really opened up if you put the skinny pedal down. I had few guys randomly follow me to ask me where I got it done because it sounded and looked really good. I am not a big fan of snap, crackle, pop exhaust typically found with straight pipes. Just a moderate deep tone that let's it breath a little more.

I've used the GM OEM rolled tips before and they are high quality. Sourced them by shopping the part number on the Internet. Usually find good prices from GM dealers selling through eBay. My dealer gave me one for my current truck as part of my deal, but I replaced it with the Borla tips after installing the GM Borla exhaust.post-106333-0-25845700-1454174938_thumb.jpeg
