LED Front Light Bars & Pods

Recommended Posts

I will be getting my hands on a 40" in about 2 weeks. When I do I'll post up detailed pictures of my mounting locations for everyone

I'm getting mine soon. Not putting it on a relay due to switch I'm getting is a 30 amp switch and inline fuse. But I would like to know where to mount a 40 inch and the dimensions

I want to do a 40" above the bowtie and below the bowtie in the grille... Time to take my truck apart.

Check behind the grille above the bow tie. Not sure if it will be the same, but on my Sierra there is the air Intake above the GMC so a light bar in the upper area behind the grille can't happen without taking that out

I had a deal worked out with a friend of mine to buy it this weekend or next, but now he's trying to sell his truck with it on... Project might get delayed slightly

What do you mean by "above the bowtie and below the bowtie in the grille"? 2 40" LED bars? I'd like to see pictures before the grille is put back on if this is what your going to do

The upper part of the grille was going to be my first attempt, if I couldn't come up with any solid mounting locations I was going to go to the lower half

I was looking into maybe a straight double row 40 inch light bar. In the near future I may start to sell them.

Here's what 2 single row straight bars look behind a HD grille on the previous body style! Just wanted to share since I found it and I know some are looking at 2 bars behind the grille (myself included)

Hmmm.... wonder how bad the grille would obscure the useable light. I like the lower bar mounted in the grill tho.

As long as mounting locations were all planned out correctly it shouldn't have too much effect. I think some aftermarket grilles would allow even more light to pass through.

i have a 2014 all terrain live in Ontario so we have front license plates. i would love to add a light bar but not sure where i can put it

If you don't want to do behind the grille or in the bumper gap (like mine), they make license plate mounts:
