LED Front Light Bars & Pods

Recommended Posts

I got to get around to doing mine. I'm being lazy. A shop down the road from me told me it was 300 bucks just to lift the front end of mine with my rc 2.5 level. Not bad because it included the front end alignment.

But over the years of building my srt4 I probably saved 10k in not paying shops to do my work.

The level is so easy to do. Very straight forward. Save yourself some more money and get your hands dirty. Only thing I paid for is an alignment.

yeah keep us posted and I like how you can return it with no questions asked

I seen these light bars but I also seen that theres only a few reviews on them. im a little scared about that.

Yea Amazon is awesome.

In regards to the light bar, I was a little skeptical at first due to the few reviews, but I look for something that has a certain type of projector like this one, breather terminal, already has connector installed, and the mounts this one has are what I was looking for. Plus it's curved. Also, there's one review for the curved one that was pretty convincing. Also had pictures. Sold me there. In addition the cost was right, so I'll either like it and keep it or won't like it and send it back for a full refund. Win win.

Got my new light bar in today. 30" curved combo pattern. I'm switching this out for my 30" single row light bar. I'll post up more pics and info when I get it installed

Not sure yet. Thinking about trying to mount it on my quad. Might be too big. If not I'll either try to sell it on here or just return to Amazon

So I got my bar on. Screwed up on my measurements, bar is a fraction of an inch too high. I need to move it down, but ran out of time today. I'll fix it another time and get it centered. Still pretty stoked about it. I'll try to get some output pictures up later

Oh it's not that bad! I would just keep it. It still looks bright as ****!

Does the curved one follow the contour of the grille pretty well?

Pretty much perfectly. I will say though that my grill does press up on the light bar just a tad. Grill still locks in place tho and the fact that it's up next to the grill keeps it extra sturdy. Not that it was going anywhere due to the steel plates I used to mount the bar. The straight one I had in there I felt lost a good amount of light because it was pushed back from the grill. As you can see in the pics, the fact that this curved bar follows the contour of the grill and slightly presses up against it, means it will lose very little light output.

I had some pretty good testing with the light bar tonight and all I can say is wow. Completely blows the first one I had out of the water. Has an amazing flood output and with the bar being curved, the spot beam shines out far and wide. I took some measurements today so that this weekend I can bring the bar down and center it perfectly in the grill. Essentially all of the top row of LED's was blocked tonight, but it still easily out shined my previous one. I would recommend this light bar to anyone.

I will get output pictures this weekend once I finish with the bar. I will take some additional pictures of how I mounted the bar so if anyone is interested in them I should have them available.
