LED Front Light Bars & Pods

Recommended Posts

Yeah that is correct. It comes out just to the right of the brake booster when looking at it from the front. If my memory serves me right.

Cool deal. Thanks for the info. My bar and harness should be here tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a chance to take a look and check things out

Hey guys,

Someone mentioned something about setting up my LED lightbar to my remote garage control opener that comes with the vehicle. How can i do that?

Thnks

Hold the button on the lightbar remote and the homelink button at the same time and wait till the homelink light flashes.

Is there any delay turning the light on/off when using home link buttons or is it instantaneous when you push the button?

Its pretty instantaneously if your homelink works good, mine doesnt work the best. One time i was driving with the light on and ended up blinding someone becouse when i pushed the homelink it went off for a second and came back on. So its kinda hit or miss.

Is it possible to have a hard wired harness and a wireless?

I think so. I know my buddy was working on doing that and I'm pretty sure he was successful. I'll check

If you go to the totron website they sell kits that have it manually switched and through their remote. Their remote and harness and switch are plug and play.

Absolutely. Lots of ways to do it... but if you buy the wireless remote and harness then all you need to do is add the switch to the existing relay, or add another relay and switch in parallel with the relay on that harness.

Anyone with a Silverado Z71 grill have a double row light bar behind the grille?

Also how do you pull the grille off a Silverado?

It's definitely been done before. There's pics floating around here somewhere.

For the grill, just YouTube how to remove grill on 2014 Silverado. 4 bolts on top, 2 in the wheel wells, and 4 underneath the grill. I took mine off and installed my LED bar yesterday. Wasn't difficult

Well I installed my bar yesterday and went with a rigid harness. So essentially all I would need to do is splice in a wireless harness into the trigger wire?
