LED Front Light Bars & Pods

Recommended Posts

Just an update. I mounted another 32" bar behind my LTZ grill. I'm loving the light it puts out.

How much light does that grille block? from the pictures it looks like the grille is basically covering half the bar

Has anyone found a wire for the 10 minute retained acc power? All of the ones I have found only retain power until the door is opened. I want to be able to leave the light on after I open the door but not be on a always on so I can't forget to turn it off and drain the batt. Right now I have my relay for my light triggered by a wire off of the high beam but I'm installing some double throw switches in the console so the bar can be off, on with highs, or on with 10 minute RAP. I'm also going to do the same for my backup pods along with a jumper from reverse to the bed lights.

1 20" combo beam

1 30" spot beam only

2 rigid Dually D2 driving pattern for fog lights

This set up lights up a dark road. No more need for the high beams on low light roads

Will have some in the next hour or two! Finally waking up to go out and finish working on it

Looks good.

Where's the best place to run your wiring from the bars and into the cab to mount the switch?

Here abunch of daytime pics!

The new 30" bar is a bit more cool white than the 20" but with how bright they are it's hard to tell when you look at them. They light up the road like crazy! And the 30" also matches the rigid pods!

If anyone wants more pics at any specific angle or of anything in particular, let me know and I can post here or send me a PM and I can send it to you that way.

Here's a link to the 30"

I ran the wire from both my bars on a double harness. From the bars they ran up in between the passenger headlight and the air box and used 3m double sided tape to stick it underneath the little overhang on the side. Ran it to the battery from there and then down the backside of the passenger wheelwell. There is a large opening the you can just drop the wire through and it will be easy access under the truck. From there I drilled a small hole (just big enough to fit the harness wire through) in the small circular plastic piece under the passenger footwell carpet. Ran the wire under the carpet and into the center console and spliced the power for the light on the switch to a cig lighter under the infotainment center. And Finally I have the switch sitting in the forward top corner of the small storage compartment on the driver side of the center floor console

I will take a pic of the switch. It's in a great spot. Hidden, out of the way, but not far or difficult to access.

Sorry guys for the late pics. You will notice against the garage regular low beam and then the new D2 Rigids. Also pics of the truck. Just love the lights and how they work! Outstanding to say the least.
