Amazing how many modifications they make post first run these days. Just a few years ago they would make all of these modifications through the dealer network. I honestly beleive they have found that they can reduce costs and delaer based warranty work by making these changes during production.

My dealership told me that they no longer offer a painted bumper w/o steps. They make the painted w/ steps for the Denali and have decided to use them on the AT's. If you have one w/o a step and painted it was run earlier and you now have a unique package. I was sort of upset when i ordered that i couldnt get a step w/ painted in the AT. So when mine arrived last week with the step unannounced you can imagine my excitment.

I am flying back to MN now and should have my truck w/ new mods later today.

I created a rukus about this topic earlier and was told by GMC to pound sand. Any AT made after 10/15 will have painted step bumpers and any truck before that will not. I was upset because I bought my truck the first week of November and the dealership told me that option to have painted bumpers with steps on my AT was and never will be an option. When I confronted them about these new options they were like whoop de do. I was kind of pissed but dont mind as much any more, something tells me i would miss the step and hit the paint quite a bit so im fine without it.
