Aftermarket muffler for 8.1?

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket muffler for the 8.1? Don't want anything real loud, and want to maintain the 2 inlet and 1 outlet set up, but go bigger on the outlet if possible. Have contacted Magnaflow and Borla so far, no luck. Thanks

Have you tried Flowmaster?

Have checked Flowmaster website, but didn't see anything. Will contact them directly. Anybody have a custom setup? If so, how do you like it?

A friend of mine has the 6.0 and it has two in and one out. He bought the 50 series big block muffler from Flowmaster. It is loud too. It fit right on and came with an adapter to make it mount right in the stock location. Now not sure if it is available for the 6.0 or 8.1, I installed it on my 5.3, but I have the 70 series and it is not loud at all. Has that Flowmaster rummble but inside the cab is a soft mellow tone, not loud at all. Might ask Flowmaster if the 70 series big block is available for your application.

I have the Flowmaster on my 454 and it sounds great.  I have people ask all the time what kind of muffler it is.  It is fairly loud, however.

Spoke with performance shop who did my last truck, (with 5.3) about the Flowmaster, (part #530513 is the one for the 8.1) and he said it is quite loud. He recommended a Hooker muffler which he said works on the same basic principle as a Flowmaster, with slightly higher backpressure, and quieter. Anyone with experience with Hooker mufflers?
