LTZ2014
Kinda figured you didn't have personal experience with them. Plz explain to me what is so bad about the rough country 5" kit and tell me what is so fabulous about BDS and rancho. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk it is the one piece subframe the higher end kit use that makes them so much better. I am sure they work fine i personally trust the extra engineering with the one piece set for my own piece of mind. I would also never put lift blocks on my truck. I would rather have leaf springs built than risk a block topling over in a heavy strain situation off road. Look at cognito, fabtech, full throttle suspension. They are all running lift blocks and all higher end kits. I towed boats for about 5 years with my old truck with no issues. hzhardy
I didn't say they didn't use blocks. I just said I prefer over engineered things and I have always chose to have springs built to not need them. it is my personal preference. I just posted why people don't like rough country and I did not claim they suck, I just like stuff over built.
Grumpy Tooch
but if you are just using it for dual purpose rig...blocks are ok. You are definitely right about strength and reliability with new leafs, but majority of the time people are going with blocks with a rig that will see mostly pavement. hzhardy
And that is the crowd Rough Country is perfect for. If they were as bad as they are made to sound they would have already been put out of business due to a law suit. If I felt they were complete crap I would not be running their hidden winch mount on my truck

Prokopchuk_9
Rough Country...really? You can do a LOT better then that. BDS or Rancho, otherwise don't bother. Why?? What evidence do you have to support this? I run a 4-6" kit with 4" blocks, run bilstein shocks. Angles up front are perfect. it rides great on 35's! Lift has 200k Kms on it with dozens and dozens of HARD boost launches the lift holding up fine. I won't knock rough country one bit. Yes their are higher quality lifts out there but rough country aren't that bad either!!

You will NOT make that truck ride nice with keys cranked and an add a leaf. Buying anything else to try and make it better will only make your wallet lighter. Get used to it or buy a REAL lift and stop complaining...
