Drove and Ford and a chev the Ford won

Recommended Posts

No but the point of it is the sales are down on gm and the only way they ever move them beyond the odd guy like you is put a massive rebate on them. Take from that what you will.

Well back to the original post... You claimed a win for Ford with their 6.2L not "needing" premium fuel however just like the 14' GM 6.2L premium fuel is "Recommended For Use" which in turn is a draw...well that is until you look at HP, Torque, & Fuel Economy numbers then GM =======win

Went to the dealer today and drove a new LTZ with 5.3 and 3.42's then went

across the street and drove a Lariat with the 5.0.

Here are my observations.

The chevy interior is nicer======chevy

The chevy ride is nicer========chevy

The fuel economy ===========chevy

The engine power goes hands down to the Ford====Ford

The truck sounded way better also===============Ford

I was told the ford 6.2 does not require premium fuel??=Ford

The transmission is better====================Ford

The ability to configure it how I want it ==========Ford chevy makes you take many things you dont want

The price ===============================Ford

Crew cab truck made in USA=================Ford

Not sure if I can actually buy a ford I have always had chevy's but

it sure was good to compare the 2.

Ford has a better trans? Doubt it.

You guys I said knock the crap off. And you concentrate on the Grand Prix, look at one of his GMC's. He is one of the members that knows how to make these engines quick. Everyone has an opinion but it is time to calm down. I am tired of it and thread clean up is in order now. This is a warning to all of you. Now this will be locked until I can clean it up

i think that when all of the 2013's are off the lots the sales will increase... not sure about everyone else but dealers in my area still have a few 2013's left and they are selling them easily at great discounts

There's the problem. Hard to sell a Chevy or GMC with $3500 off, while Ford and Ram have close to $10,000 off as do the 2013 GM twins. Once the twins are finally dead, GM will throw more money at the 2014s, but only a little at a time. They may just hold a little tighter to see what Ford does with the 2015 trucks.

Honestly, I don't think it has anything to do with the truck itself. I think it has to do with 2 things: the price, and the Government Moters tag. My family gives me crap all the time for my 2011 "obamamobile".

I really dig the GMC. I just can't won't pay that kind of money....for any brand's half ton pickup.

I've had people drop the govt motors line and its pathetic. This is what I say- Chrysler and GM both took a lot of federal money and while I'm no fan of that decision, they have paid back the bulk of the money. Ford on the other hand took out a 6 billion dollar loan that it has barely paid a cent on (this may have changed, the article I found is dated 8/2012). Who has been more responsible.

Occasionally a Dodge guy has said the same thing. I don't really respond to those ones, I just giggle. :lol:
