Rusty Rocker Panels

Recommended Posts

So my almost three year old truck is being destroyed by rocks. Front panels where the rockers meet the fenders all the paint is chipping off at the bottom. I'm almost seriously thinking about mud flaps. Bare metal is exposed alrdy, this is crazy for being so new. I do krown it. But what can I do? I tried to use a touch up pen but colour doesn't match well.

I don't really care for the look of Mud flaps and running boards either but , to keep it in good shape on the bottom they are almost a necessity . Mine has the 6" factory steps and the flaps on the front fenders and I might have just the odd stone chip . Your other option is the 3M clear film on the bottom , it comes in either a film you apply or in aerosol cans now . I used the film behind the rear wheels about 3" or so up from the wheel to the bumper .
