Post Pics of Your 2014+

Recommended Posts

I'm new here I have been reading here for 3 weeks. My truck I bought out of desperation had just wrecked my 2002 Chevy truck which I loved. Never once did that truck let me down not once and it had 171000 miles. So I bought this 2017 black on black as close as I could get to my 02, leather, tow package. I just have never loved it. So now I'm going to order a 2020 like I want it more like what I had just more tech out. And I will be trying to sell my 2017 with 34000 miles on it. Should I get near what dealers are asking? or near what Kelly's blue book says? or am I going to take a bath?  I paid before tax $49671.00 and I know what I paid has little to do with what I will get now.

Well...there’s a whole lot of inventory out there at the moment. And at the price you paid folks may want the new body Silverado instead. Plus the loan to value may not work out for a potential buyer as not many people are not going to pay cash for a $50k truck. I think If you are he’ll bent on ordering a 2020 then your only option is to trade it in. I’d try and work the deal with the same place you bought this one just to see if they can offer any loyalty credit.

I have some of those numbers on trade in. The dealer has 2 of them on his lot both 2017 both loaded one with 55000 mile one with 28000 they want $33500 for one and $37000 for the other. On mine they offered me  $30000.00 you can already see how much they are going to make selling it. I'm retired and the 2020 Truck maybe my last truck. in 5-10 years I won't need a truck anymore.

So is $30000 al I'll get I  own the truck outright no loan. $20000 bath in 2 years that's going to sting some for awhile. But thanks for your opinion

Yeah...a $20k loss on a new truck is not good at all. Under those circumstances I agree a private sale may be the best option. After the insulting offer you got from the dealer I’d look for a parking place across /next to them and leave it for sale on weekend days. Make a big sign that says “4-SALE $5k less than dealer.” Lol.  .... I laugh but I’m not really kidding. ?

I thought I had already posted a photo, but I guess not. I traded in my tired and rusty old 2004 Silverado and bought this 2017 Double cab Z71. The miles were a little high for a 2017, but certainly not bad at 29,800 (build date 6/23/2017) I wasn't sure I wanted another black truck, but when my wife saw it, she said it was the one. Its not loaded with options, but does have the All Star Edition options package. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and have added a Line-X bed liner, tonneau cover, window tint, mud flaps, catch can, front/rear black bowties, DiaboLEW tune (still working in that 150 miles) and a few smaller things.
It's like night and day compared to my 2004, in a good way!b1e189b9ac2f225dab35dced03d72bac.jpga74d6a77e90e121ba6eb31a22c8a3267.jpg
