Rear blocks on a 14 Z71

Recommended Posts

As it comes stock, there;s a 1" block under the leaf spring and on top of the axle. The rear of the truck does sit higher. I was thinking of removing them and was wondering if it would level the truck out.

It is actually a 1.25" block, and yes removing it should just about level your truck out. To be sure measure the wheelwell heights front and back, figure out the difference then subtract the 1.25" from the rear measurement. And just as a disclaimer you should get new u-bolts since they are a one time use type of thing, once torqued down they stretch, so in a perfect world you should put a new set on.

They are called torque-to-yield
