bed liner

Recommended Posts

You don't want to look under there...I haven't seen one without railcaps but, the caps are not the stick on style like the GMT-900 trucks. There is a bunch of retainer holes in the bedrail and the rail protector snaps into the bed rail.

Are you wanting the liner sprayed on the bed rail caps or take the caps off and sprayed under them? The under the rail will work and look just fine and if need be you can always replace the caps with new ones. I am going to get mine sprayed in when I have the time. Hopefully soon.

FYI on the gm plastic liners, there are 2 different ones, one for LED lighting one for non, so if you plan on adding the LED under rail lighting make sure you get the correct liner

This has changed as of about August. All plastic liners have the LED light cutout. There are now two different ones based on upper tie down cutouts. One liner has the holes pre cut, the other does not.

Newdude is right on. The bed rail is full of retainer cut outs. Take a look under there when you can. This is one of my few complaints on the '14s. The rail covers will fade, requiring extra maintenance. And they are hot to the touch. Lean on them but not for long in S. TX. While spray ins over the rail and lighter colored trucks in the 900s do not have the problem. Not to mention it now looks like a ford rail.

I am glad GM finally put protectors on stock. I would put them on my GMT900, but I like a stock look too much. Plus, they never seem to stay in place and abraid the paint where the edge of the protector meets the box .

I agree, my 2010 Silverado bed rail protectors were put on with double sided tape and would bow in the summer heat, I had to screw them down, I like the factory bed rail protectors.

My dealership does rhino lining, got it thrown in as part of me buying the truck. Test drive it didn't have anything, picked it up a few days later and it was waiting for me ready to go, under the rails, and looks great!
