Trailer wiring issue?

I have an 06 silverado 1500 crew cab that has a trailer light issue I cannot figure out for the life of me... I am a first time truck owner and loving it and am new to this site but I am so lost with this issue. The only pin that works on my connector is the 12 volt pin which is on the top left. Everything else, left side, right side, and whatever do not light up my tester when I have it touching those pins..just the 12 volt and when I connect a trailer or anything to it..no lights work. I have looked and checked all fuses and all of them are fine. What else could possibly be going wrong? Please Help.

Try a real tester, one that has led display in the unit. ( Green Led Lights )

A normal tester with the light bulb and ground clip do not work for some reason.

Plug a trailer in and it will work... IMO

I will have to get a real tester and I did connect a trailer and still have no lights.. All wires run perfectly fine underneath truck to connection port and nothing looks to be corroded as far as any pins or connection slots go..

make sure you check the grounds and the ground for the trailer is the coupler so it has to be hitched up and have good contact with the ball if its rusty wire brush it. if you just hook it up in the yard shake the trailer and see if the lights flicker. also could be bad plug or truck side. corrosion is huge hear in Wisconsin
