Seat Movement Issues

Recommended Posts

they said they fixed it :) but yes it was an attempt. the newest seat bulletin actually puts black clamps on the white clips to prevent them from sliding, somewhat like the hose clamp fix. i'd rather get my hose clamps back and have a GM approved fix so I will update this thread in 30 days.

Dropped mine off at the dealership this morning with this issue on the list. Service writer was familiar with the issue and said it probably needs shimmed. He thought they carried the parts in stock so I should know if it worked later today.

I fixed mine with the hose clamp here in this post but after 7 months is doing it again but looks like is moving from the back.

Holy crap!!! Is this what I have to look forward to? The dealer just installed those hose clamps on my seat after a YEAR of me complaining. It will be out of warranty in seven months, too. 2014 was a bad year for the Sierra...

Is the TSB in that pic above? I may be blind...but don't see it and would love to have it when I go. First issue so far and it just started.

Unfortunately no. I looked everywhere and the TSB was not anywhere on the paperwork. I figured I would at least post the part numbers for reference.

Was hoping I missed it. If nothing else will print your pic. Thanks for the information

Was this supposed to be fixed on newer trucks? My truck was built in March 2015 and a few times already I felt the seat move back when I was coming to a stop? It rarely happens right now, but I assume it will get more frequent with more time.
