14 tuner options please help me decide

Hey guy I have been driving myself crazy!!! I have looked at range plug to either turn afm off and another one they offer to keep it in 4cyl mode longer??? Black bear performance can send custom tunes and what not? Also hypertech offers the max energy hand help which looks good as well? I am a diesel guy do this is tuff for me... Please lend me some input or ideas... The dead pedel does not bother me at all I just wAnt better mpg all around. Normal driving is 55-75 80% of the time and the rest in town??? There has been issues w/ AFM hardware failing and wiping out the cam lobes, the lifters fail and take out other parts. This has happened on some last gen GM trucks and the camaro/G8 equipped w/ the similar hardware.

I wouldn't mess with when it turns on/off or the duration, turning it off completely is one thing, but lengthening the duration I would not recommend.

 

What rear axle ratio do you have?

If you bought a truck for gas mileage maybe shouldve gone w/ the V6? Or the V6 Ram w/ 8 speed auto

Lingenfelter is pretty deep into tuning these things right now. They've done cam swaps already, superchargers, different intake manifolds, etc.

Haha no guys I got a 93 si Honda hatch for mpg lol... 37mpg with v tec running low 12s... Haha my 2013 denali 3500 duramax is my pulling truck with 5" mbrp and h&s mini max!!! What are some other options then guys I can't leave any thing alone

They are in the process of setting that up. Small operation and a few employees. They are active on here and a lot of people including myself use them for tuning.

Great!!! Have been been seeing mpg gains at all??? Afm worrys me cause there were older gm cars they tried it on and it was a bloody fight while it lasted hahah it would fire fuel but not fire and toast 4 cylinders so u would look back and see smoke pouring out the exhaust haha don't want issues with tuning etc as I know some times on newer vehicles are tuff

I don't have AFM. I do have a 6.0 and 4 speed. I just did a 226 mile trip today with some hills and pulled 18.2 MPG

I'll be going with Vince from trifecta performance. I've used him on several gm vehicles to include my 2013 malibu turbo. He's got a 14 silverado that he's doing r&d on now!

Well I am on here asking about tuners in the 2014 section and some one earlier rec. black bear.... He must not know about 14 models yet either

I don't think Zippy or Wheatly has support yet either. They are brand new engines
