bigsapper
The routing of your hoses looks different than this 2014 Sierra: What's the difference that I'm missing? Is one a 6.2L vs a 5.3L? EDIT: Nevermind the first user comment under the video explains: Chris Gallucci [/size] Thanks for the vid. I just installed mine on my 2014 Silverado. Note: This video appears to be for a 6.2L. The 5.3L has the dirty side manifold port on the driver side of the manifold about half-way back. Also, the inside of the manifold is a straight tube about half-way inside. There isn't any way to see any puddling oil or get to it if you could see it. My truck has ~3k miles and the throttle body did look about as dirty. Great kit and thanks! That is my comment. ;) Also, if you look up a few posts, gone_fishing has posted an illustration of the connection points for the 5.3 & 6.2, noting the differences. And yeah I saw those pictures after I made that post, but yeah they are definitely helpful in explaining what's going on. I will be using them when I install my catch can. Oldjock
Tonight I drained my Norris Oil Catch can. It had about 6 ounces of a tan coloured oil/water mixture. I installed the can at 1,000 km and this was trapped after 5,000 km. This is going to be a worthwhile investment.
Crf450r420
Put on at 11,000 miles and this the oil puddle in the intake. I'll be running a cleaner after the HID install.
14x4
So the clean side separator and breather cap are not really necessary because the catch can itself is very effective (95% I read)? Also, to be clear, does Rx supply all the necessary hose and hardware for this mod? I thought I read a member say he had to buy his own material. Crf450r420
I had no oil on the clean side probably because I'm not full throttle that much. They do provide everything. I had to call for a couple of forgot parts.
henrypbui
Has anybody found the part number or ordered the vacuum line and fittings that goes from the valley to the intake manifold for the 5.3L yet? I can find the valve cover to the intake box part #s, but can not find the dirty(vacuum) side at all online.

For my Camaro it was. Mike norris hooked me up with enough hose for my truck. Extra hose at Napa is pretty cheap Ryan
