Am I the only one that thinks the gmc headlights are hideous? I really like the silverado lights.

No, your not alone. I think they look way out of place, again it's my opinion. I too love the look of he Silverado headlights.

When I first saw the GMC headlights, couple with that Ugly grill it made me med3d-vomi.gif

The above is only my opinion.

The GMC is a good looking truck, but the Silverado looks better. In my opinion, the truck was designed to be a Chevy first and then when it came time to design the GMC truck, they basically took the corporate GMC face and stuck it on the front of the truck and called it a day. Nothing wrong with that, but the Chevy flows better from front to back and has a more common design language.

I looked at both, I could never get passed the look of the front end of the GMC. I thought it would grow on me, but it still hasn't. That's the main reason I ended up with a Chevy.

Last years model, 2013 and earlier, I had the exact opposite feeling, I thought the GMC was a better looking truck. Maybe GM changes which one it makes one the ugly duckling each time it comes up with a new body style.

I agree with Natek...I like both trucks. As i posted earlier, i was on the fence with my decision for three months. I couldn't make a decision between the High Country and the Denali. i decided to go with the GMC Denali with the 6.2L and all the bells and whistles. The primary reason for my final decision was the GRILL, the LED DRLs, the additional chrome, and the reconfigurable instrument cluster. Actually, the front end was the deal clencher for me personally. I have had seven trucks and everyone of them had one or more horizontal bars in the grill, I needed a change, something significanly different. The Denali does it for me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it..

well, have had 1 chev and 2 gmc's I looked at both trucks side by side. I liked the body better on the GM do to the beefy look, the fender trims for paint protection and liked the LED's in the front head lights. As for the Chev, I like the front end better, Nice grill with z71 logo, fog lights square and chrome surrounding and head lights......chev turn off was the body looks, no fender protectors no LED's........Just wish the GM truck design was the Silverado's..........Also wish they would seperate the inside looks. Be 2 different trucks and this would make the people decide which truck lives to the standards.

It was a matter of service for me. Both dealerships are within a half mile of each other, but the Chevrolet dealership is a large company of many storefronts in many cities and I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling when I previously went there. The GMC dealership is locally owned and the service is outstanding. Having had several other GMC vehicles makes the personal service experience much more valid.

Of course some dealerships have both species of trucks and then the decision comes down to the looks which has fueled these previous comments. Both are great trucks!!!
