2014 Silverado/Sierra vs 2014 Tundra

roadblock

Recommended Posts

i saw one of these on the road last night on my way home from work, coming at me from the other way. it didn't look terrible to me but i've always like certain design cues of the Tundra's. one thing i feel polar about on all new trucks is the LED accent lighting in the headlights that now serves as the parking lights. this goes for the new Sierras, Rams, and Tundras. sometimes i think "oooh that looks nice, high end" and other times i think " that looks like boy-racer cheap ebay halo-esque lighting". last night when i saw it on the new trundra i thought it looked nice. opinion might change the next time i see it.

I am sorry but I just visited the Tundra site and all Toyota coul brag about is there lame a$$ borrowed 1990's dodge Ram styling and their tight turning radius. Seriously, Toyota is bringing a knife to a gun fight when you compare them to the big three.

The front end still looks like they took a Camry & inflated it, add chrome.

I like how the rear bumper is blended into the rear quarters.

Not the 45 degree angle, but like that it does not appear to stick out.

One thing I did see at a rail yard a couple weeks ago was a extended cab long bed.

That may lure some contractors their way.

One of my coworkers has a Tundra, it's the high end edition, I think they call it Platinum or Titanium. Solid drivetrain, but the thing rides like shit and gets horrible gas mileage. Definitely couldn't see myself daily driving one.

Get rid of the bling and it might work for me style wise. The biggest plus is an 8ft bed, which oddly enough is only offered on the lower trims? It might be only on the extended cab and regular cab but that's more than what GM is offering.
