I realize the vibration issues in 2014 and 2015 Chevy and GMC trucks are bad, but my folks just found two brand new 2014 Chevy Silverados up on a dealer's lot up north, and I just found a new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 sitting on a dealership's lot here in Florida today.

This is crazy. I'd love to continue to deal, but am damned scared about having to live with one.

Got my 2015 CC LT 2WD with All Star package and 5.3 a few weeks ago for $34,500 (MSRP: $42,300). I also had a trade-in which was a 2009 Challenger SRT-8 with ~30,000 miles. They gave $26,500 which I was ok with considering the good price on the truck and trying to sell for $28,500 for 3 weeks prior with no luck. I got sick of the "How about $25K cash?" texts and flakey people.

I couldn't be happier. I had a 2002 ext. cab before the Challenger and loved it. I had the challenger for almost 5 years and got it out of my system. I got sick of borrowing friends trucks to go ride my dirt bike and people complaining about climbing in the back seat of the challenger.

Interested to see the deals people start to get in the coming weeks as dealers clear the way for 2016s.

I'm looking to purchase my very first truck and I want it to be a Silverado! I have read through most of this forum and it seems like most people can get $8-11k off MSRP depending on original cost. I'm looking for a crew cab short bed 4x4 LT1. Chevy is advertising $4,000 off MSRP plus 0% 60 mo financing. It seems like most of these trucks have an MSRP of $43-45k. How likely could I get the truck for $33-35k before TTL given the current rebates?

I don't think I qualify for employee or supplier pricing. My mother in law's cousin does sell Chevy's but I'm not sure if that qualifies me.

The end of the quarter is coming up so I have that working for me. Or should I wait until the 2016s come out so the dealers really want to clear the lot of the 2015s?

I'm in the MD area so any dealers known to go low would be helpful.

Thanks for the help!

Just remember that the bigger the factory rebate the less money the dealer will come off of the truck after rebates. With $5k rebates you can find a dealer to come off another $5k or so. If there is $10k in factory rebates the dealers will be less pressed to come off much more than that because they can still move the trucks and make more money. I ran into that same scenario this time last year when I was looking to buy.
