How much for plane ticket, gas, food and perhaps hotel room from this trip? I would not be opposed to doing this when I get a new one as they have Denalis for 45k.....

I bought a saver fair from United for $75 admin fee and 10,000 frequent flyer miles. This was a one way ticket bought day of the trip. I was at the dealership about 1.5 hrs. They were slammed and I was told that I was the forth "fly in" of the day. They pick you up at the airport and everything. No one asked me if I wanted a warranty, paint/fabric protector, nothing .. just in and signed about four things, dropped a check and ran.

Its only 13 hours or so from Collinsville to DC so I didn't need a room. Other than a couple drive thrus (ugh), the most money was spent on two tanks of gas (844 miles). I probably paid $200 in all. Given the price of used 2014s in the DC area (hint - slightly more than I paid!), I may fly once a year and flip a truck for even money. It was a super easy drive straight down I64. Highly recommend Laura Buick GMC (ask for Brendan!).

I live about 10 hours from Laura and with the deals they have, I'm thinking about getting my next truck from them some time in the future if my dealership can't come close enough. My dealership, which I purchased my last 2 GMC trucks from ('11 & '14), is literally 5 minutes away from my home so this would be a new experience for me. My questions are 1.) How far into the numbers and financials are you guys going into, before committing to making the trip? I dealt with one dealership years ago that didn't want to crunch any numbers until I actually came in. 2.) What do you guys do when it's time to get your trucks serviced?

The highlighted area is what puts these guys over the top. Have bought from other dealers where the finance guy is an ass as well as trying to upsell everything he can on your purchase. Laura GMC spends their & your time wisely. Just as you said, here is the paperwork, sign here, leave check & done. They have all the extra stuff if you want to buy any of it, but it is upon customer request.

I bought 2 new vehicles this year and the after signing walk abouts just piss me off. I don't want to meet the oil change secretary, the know it all parts person, or do I need to give you every method of contact to me including I'm sure what bathroom in my house I prefer to use.

As per thread, I just picked up 2014 sierra sle crew 4wd preferred package with 21k km(dealer vehicle) for a fraction of $47k CDN$ sticker. Was complete one off chance when looking to test drive one day.

They give you a final quote up front in email. They need your zip code to understand what rebates you qualify for (some are not available in all markets). This is based on where you live, not where you buy. I even got a signed buyers order b/c my bank needed it.

I think they are up front with it b/c those who are flying in typically come armed with an official bank check which is already fixed. WARNING:: They DO NOT like the pre-approved auto loan checks. I've used them many times locally but they wanted nothing to do with it. Its the kind of check that you can write 'up to' a pre-approved amount.

I just signed the papers on a pretty loaded up Sierra 1500 All Terrain with the 6.2L. MSRP 54640, paid 47985. They had to do a dealer trade about 600 miles away to find it.

I don't plan on even bringing my truck in for the free service. (Once upon a time I was a flat rate Mechanic at a GM dealer) Its not worth my time for the price of oil and filter. When and if there is a problem with the truck it will go to a local dealer.

Picked up my 2014 LT TX edition, Crew Cab, Standard box

well equiped but no leather.

31k after TTL with an extended full coverage warranty. I even get free paintless dent repair.

I was able to get $500 more for my trade and they removed some accesories (and another $500) I didnt want but then ended up just leaving them on (running boards, rear underseat storage, chrome trim). I hate buying the extended warranty on the spot but I couldnt get quotes prior to the purchase. GMC has some odd requirements to get quotes and I didnt have an exact VIN or vehicle to inquire about. So im pretty sure I left money on the table with the warranty. Overall Im happy though. Prior to warranty I was at 29,500ish after TTL. Anyhow here is the truck I got shown without the dealer installed items.

I bought a 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4 Dbl Cab LT Z71 5.3 All Star Package.

MSRP $42,955. Sale price of $30,995. Which was $11,960. off or 27.843% off.

I'm very happy with the deal I got. Not sure why 2015 are being discounted so much but I had to get one.

That is a good deal for sure.

Especially for one with the rare Power Steering option. :chevrolet::pimp::thumbs:
