Double cab 4X4 5.3 max trailering, Lt convenience, Lt plus , chrome essentials.

45,065 msrp

35,050 OTD

Did you have a trade to cover sales tax? That is a huge discount on an OTD price! Good for you!

Had a courtesy rebate because the '11 duramax I traded was such a POS. In the shop 16 times in the last 3 years. Luckily it was paid for and dealer gave me top dollar to help me out of it.

I have a 14 Sierra SLE Double

Paid 32 out the door...

Just went to see about a trade up to a SLE Crew or SLT Crew and they only want to give me 28k... I owe 29 still.

Guess they dont want a sale...

Anyone know of some good dealers in So Cal

There are some ads starting to come out saying "up to $12,000 off". But in reading the

fine print this includes about every discount that very few of us would qualify for. If

anyone can approach getting close to $10,000 off of the sticker price, I would say they

have done very well. The 14's are going to be making way for the 15's.

Hi folks, new to the forum here...

I am looking at pricing for a Sierra 1500 crew cab 4x4...

When I use the GMC web site pricing tool, it is showing me (in summary)

Total MSRP (options and options package discounts included) $46,705

Cash Allowance (Rebates): -$5000

Special value discount: -$3191

Final Sales Price (after all offers) $38,514

My question is…what exactly is the "Special Value Discount"? It is in addition to all the option package discounts. It is listed for just about any configuration, but to a different dollar amount. Is this basically just stating upfront the discount I can anticipate negotiating with the dealer? OR is it some rebate or discount that GM is giving the dealer, and the "Final Sales Price" is really essentially the starting point for negotiations with the dealer (i.e. I should expect to be able to negotiate significantly from that point another $1-2k or so).

I am not clear on how to treat that price, and I have tried searching here and internet at large for information with no luck. Again, just trying to figure out if the bulk of the price movement I can expect from the dealer is already reflected in that Special Value Discount.

Anyone purchase recently have experience with that?

Im looking at upgrading to a 14, I get a Supplier Price Discount through my job, and was told that the Special Value Discount is actually GM Supplier Price. Looks like everyone gets it now.

What truck configuration are you using to get to that $5,000 cash allowance? You sure that isn't for a 2WD V6 truck? I can't seem to get the site to show anything near that for any configuration of a 4WD V8 Crew Cab.

Yes, that Special Value Discount is the same as getting supplier pricing. If you could get employee pricing, that will save you an additional $2,000. If your employer is currently a GM supplier, then somebody within your company knows somebody at GM.... Ask if any would give you an authorization code. It can't hurt. Supplier pricing saves you about $3K off sticker, employee pricing saves you about $5K off sticker. GM employees can give out up to (5) authorization codes per year, and are usually happy to do so...

I've been reading the forum for a few months on and off after initially joining and taking a Sierra for a test drive. I decided it wasn't the time to buy. I think the time has come. My main importance is color - Stealth gray or Blue Granite Metallic. I wanted either and SLT or LTZ. Indifferent about Z71.

With that I've done quite a bit of research on here and elsewhere. There are no LTZ Silverados in the color within 2 hours of my house. I even checked my parents zip code in Florida. There are few Sierras in SLT trim, but still available.

I went to a combo Chevy / GMC dealer to inquire about the differences in person and such. I walked out with an offer:

List

$49680

Savings

$6030

Total

$43650

I want to try to hold out for the dealer to lower the price. I know this is what GMC is offering, now I need the dealer to entice me a bit.

Looking into buying my first new vehicle and am getting a bit overwhelmed with all the numbers being thrown around online and at the dealership.

I've heard things from supplier pricing is good to even employee pricing is a crap deal.

Below I've got two copies of invoices (with necessary information blacked out) of trucks I'm interested in with the deal the dealership is willing to make off the bat. They are saying supplier pricing is the absolute lowest they can go, however I've heard people on this forum talk about getting their trucks for lower than that.

Just looking for a bit of clarity on all the numbers I'm looking at.

Should I just ask them straight up how much the car costs them for real? Even though I doubt they will give me a straight answer. I know the "invoice" price isn't anywhere close to the real price they paid.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
