After shopping for months I finally pulled the trigger on a new truck. Black 14 Silverado CC standard bed LT Z71.

Sticker price from May 2013 invoice date- $44,400 (build price at current prices $46,395)

Negotiated price- $40,710

Rebates- $5500 total (includes $1000.00 private offer)

Price before taxes and trade-in- $35,210 ($9190 off sticker)

Trade in- $18,000 ($970 pay-off)

TTT- $2150ish

Cash down $1321

Total financed OTD- $19,000

Overall I feel I got a great deal on the truck and was offered a fair price on my trade-in. Love the truck so far.

First, thanks for the great forum. I've learned a lot here. I'm looking to buy a truck - probably a Sierra or Silverado with the 6.2l engine. I've been shopping around and I've found that they're pretty scarce. In fact, there are just a couple on lots here in Utah. The dealers know what they've got and they're not dealing too much.

So - what kind of deals have you gotten on your 6.2 trucks? If I found a great deal, I'd probably go to a neighboring state, but I haven't found that yet. The one truck I have found that meets my criteria stickers at 52k or so, and they're telling me right about that (52) for my out the door price. That seems high to me.

I'm about an hour away from this dealer so I haven't set eyes on this truck personally. It's all been over the phone. This is for a Sierra SLT w/ All terrain package and a few other things.

Here's how it breaks down-

Sticker: 51660

sales price: 48012

rebates (1750)

subtotal: 46262

accessories and shipping (?): 1698 --- I asked about this, and they said its for bedliner and other things they put on the truck, but they didn't mention it in my "sales prices" for some reason.

tax: 3162

Reg, title, license and fees: 926 (this also seems very high)

Total out the door price: 52049

Thoughts? Is that about what I can expect when shopping for the more in demand 6.2, or should I hold out for a better deal and better rebates?

TIA

I would stay away from that dealership. Find one that does not add any accessories or paint sealants for extra grand to every new truck. Also one that does not charge bogus dealer fees. Some states put an end to this gouging, for example in Maryland they can only charge $ 200 in "dealer fees" which is just another name for another markup on the vehicle. In California these fees are also limited to $ 100 or something like that. Here in Florida most GM dealers charge exorbitant dealer fees, some as high as $ 1000. I avoid these dealers like the plague. In fact I bought my last two new GM cars out of state just for this reason. Neither dealership charged any markups or dealer fees and gave me absolutely rock bottom price.

2014 Sierra Iridium SLT 4x4 Z71 CC

MSRP $48,255 -- rebates and negotiated down to $41,775 -- $6480 off sticker and I requested (and got) a bed liner included.

The most difficult part was to get them to give me $2k MORE for my trade (more than any other dealer was offering), so I feel I could add that into my "additional rebates" (to make myself feel better) haha!

Hello everybody! I've been needing a new truck for quite awhile and the March pricing on the 14 Silverado's has me about to pull the trigger! My 02 Avalanche has about had it. I wanted to get y'all's thoughts on the deal I'm about to make.

Black 2014 Silverado LT 4WD Z-71

All Star Edition Crew Cab Standard Bed

3.42 gears, 5.3 engine, Leather seats

MSRP - $46,115

After all offers and incentives $ 38,706

I'm hoping to get around $,3000 to $3,500 on the trade in, pay about $25,000 down and take the low financing rate on the rest.

Looking forward to joining the forum and already learning lots of good information! Thanks everybody.

2014 GMC Sierra Denali 4x4 6.2

Loaded with all options except the DVD player.

$56,465 MSRP

Paid $50,265 +TTL

This includes supplier pricing, open house pricing, current rebates and USAA member discount ($750), etc. Kind of goofy to have such a high sticker when in the end my experience is that every one of these trucks (Ford, GMC, RAM) when similarly equipped is within $1k of each other.

Wondering why your MSRP is 2480 more than mine. You have leather, I don't, but that can't explain all of it I don't think? Did you have any other options? My build date was July 2013, maybe yours was later with a price increase?

My truck; 2014 Silverado, Black, 4x4, Crew Cab, standard bed, Z71, All Star Ed, 5.3L, 3.42 ratio, no other options. MSRP= 43,635

I am brand new the the site. I am extremely close to pulling the trigger on a 14' sierra. This forum has been a huge part of my decision making process.

The truck i am looking at is double cab all terrain slt

MSRP 48,100

Price after all offers = 43151 including ttl

After reading here this seems on par but also seems like there could be a little more room for me. I would appreciate your thoughts.

Seems high to me. Looking at this thread it seems you should be able to get at least 7k off of MSRP without much trouble.

Is that due to higher rebates from December to February?

I suppose it might be, rebates for me in Feb were 4400. I guess March deal is everyone gets supplier prices, not sure what other rebates are active?

But people say that the deals are going to continue to get better because GM has to move trucks. So I can't see how that would mesh with OTD prices going up. What rebates/ offers are coming up in April?

I just noticed where your 43151 price includes tax, sorry missed that before, so yes that price seems to be in line with what many are paying. Sorry about that!

Ended up pulling the trigger on a Sierra SLT All Terrain in Summit White w/ 6.2L and 3.42 gears. I'm satisfied with the deal, and I love the truck! You guys will have to tell me what you think. Nobody locally would do the deal, but I found a smaller dealership in Idaho that would negotiate, so I went for it. Most of the dealers I found didn't even have a 6.2 on the lot, and those that did weren't too anxious to negotiate. They had what everyone was looking for and they knew it, so I was pumped to find somebody who wanted to deal.

Sticker was $54,080.

Their initial offer to me was the "sale" price of $49,142. The rebate was $1750 brining the price to $47,392. They had already added a clearbra film on the front which bumped the price up $695, for a price of $48,087 before tax, title, license and dealership fees. After you added all of that in, it brought the quote up to $51,805 out the door.

I had told them that price was too high initially and I kept shopping.

I got a call a few days later from a sales guy saying that they had a certificate for $500 from GM that expired that day (probably a lie), and that I could use it. After thinking about it for a while, I called them back and said that if they could add a leveling kit (they had quoted me $600 for that) and get me out the door under $50k, I'd do it.

A few minutes later they called me back and said they'd do it.

The final price I paid out the door was $50k even, and that included the 3M film and the leveling kit. That puts the sales price before accessories and TTL at around $45,xxx, almost $9k or so off of sticker.

To me, that seems like a good deal, especially on a loaded 6.2 that nobody else seemed to want to deal on.

Thoughts?
