Sure is a lot of hate or disappointment for GM on this forum.

Why even buy a GM vehicle and be here on this forum if you don't like them so much?

I personally love my truck and feel it was a great purchase and I love the technology that it has and the technology that it doesn't. I would have bought something else if it didn't have exactly what I wanted.

sorry if my post sounded negative. my wife loves her Tahoe, probably more than me, but neither of us care for the push button start. it was an expensive lesson with the 4-runner for an option that we really don't like or want. I really like my truck and think you made the right decision going with a GM product. and yes, you find an equal amount who do nothing but complain, and an equal amount who have a positive outlook and good things to bring to the forum.

You have to keep in mind that people generally post when something is wrong. Praise and happiness go by without note most often.

My 1st post on this forum.

Just picked up my new 2017 GMC Sierra All Terrain w/ Premium pkg. Crew Cab Short Box 4x4 with Sunroof and Trailer Brake in Summit White.

MSRP: $54,955.00

Invoice: $52,128.00

Price Paid: $39,955.00

Dealership was running a $15,000.00 off MSRP promotion on this particular truck so I jumped on it. It had all the exact options that I wanted. Drove 300 miles roundtrip to get it.

Included in that discount was a rebate of $5909.00 that came from GM and the remaining $9,091.00 was a dealer discount.

Did not have to negotiate at all as this is over 27% off MSRP. All other dealerships in the PNW are around $44-46k for this same truck.

I also paid an additional $2,750 for a full Bumper-to-Bumper Extended Warranty for 7 years/100k miles. They offered it for $5,000 and I negotiated that down. Never bought an extended warranty before but considering the amount of computers and technology this truck has, I figured it was worth it this time.

I live in Olympia, WA and bought from Autotown GMC in Gladstone, OR. From what I've seen on their website, they offer these promotional prices on certain trucks on a regular basis.

Judging by what I've seen on these forums, anything over 20% off is good so my 27% off is great. I was considering even flying out to Laura GMC to get one, but I don't think I've even seen them sell for this low price.

My advice is to be patient. I've been looking for around 3-4 months and just waiting until a deal this like popped up.

Great Deal....!!!

I really wasn't going to buy a new truck at this time, even though ive been on a 2-year upgrade...then I saw some of the deals out there, and it was the last couple days for some of the discounts/rebates...so I looked online, and after work went to one on the dealers that had the exact truck I wanted, with the bonus tag...

I ended up with $14,700 off in discounts and rebates...and then had to go back and forth a few times with my trade, but ended up where I wanted to be...

Anyone buy in Oregon, which dealer did you work with? Sorry if this is the wrong post for this question.

See my post a page back. I'm in Olympia, WA and drove down to Auto Town GMC in Gladstone, OR just SE of Portland a couple weeks ago.

That's pretty good. I didn't have to negotiate my deal. The dealership was trying to clear out a couple trucks that had been there for awhile and hadn't sold yet so I waited and waited until they discounted them and scooped mine up for $15k off. I'm a professional supply chain manager and buying and negotiating is my thing, but didn't even have to on this truck because it was the best deal I had ever seen on one.

Jealous . Just got same exact truck but in black . Paid 45 and thought that was a pretty good deal . But considering where I live in ny still think I did pretty good the other shops I checked in the area were all about 2 to 3 k higher .

I have decided to shop for a 2017 2500 HD Denali Blue with Cocoa Dune interior with the 6.6 Duramax. The MSRP on my 16 1500 Denali was 60k (it is still perfect plus it has the Dealer installed Borla catback and color matched Peragon and a few other options) looks like the MSRP on the 17 2500 HD is 70k so I want to get as close to out the door 10k trade difference as possible.

Key info

1. My truck is paid for (I paid cash).

2. I will be paying cash for the difference when the deal is completed.

So question is, what would be a great deal for boot to dealer on new truck in this scenario? I am thinking around 14 or 15k......

Oh and for the curious I am looking at travel trailers and the 16 1/2 ton would be rated to pull it but I want more leeway plus my favorite color is blue!
