No trade in. Not financing through them. Live in Ca and would fly out to Laura if the deal is enticing.

The $46890 is from Laura, without any negotiating. Just not sure how I can get them down further on an ordered truck.

They don't have the truck I want on their lot, in fact no one has the max trailering with the Slt Premium plus and 2wd 5.3l crew cab and color perference.

I've never seen what you needing (ever) ... (2wd is kinda odd ? max trailering) ?

You can build it, just not out there. Why is it odd? Becuase it's not 4wd? I was just looking for the extra tow capacity, bigger mirrors and such while still having some okay mpg. The truck will not be towing a lot or need the 4wd (and loss of mpg with normal driving). It will mostly be city driven.

4wd is appealing and was my first choice. I would like having the 4wd option, but paying an extra 3k up front, plus maintenance does not equate. Beleive me I would like to negotiate a truck on the lot, but that's not the case.

Now how do I get Laura down from 46,890.

Laura's price is take it or leave it. If you don't take it, someone else will. Plenty on here will tell you they will not negotiate from their advertised price, unless there has been a change in incentives and their site not updated.

I have read that, but there isn't an advertisement or someone else waiting to take it as I would be an ordered vehicle.

The price Laura gives you right now doesn't even matter. You have to wait for the vehicle to arrive to see what incentives are available.

Sure the price matters. The price they are giving is before incentives.

I'm ordering and they want a non-refundable 3K deposit, so I'm not going in to this without some kind of base pricing before unknown incentives. incentives at least will probably be 2k, but hopefully no less than 4k (which is where it is at now) to what I would like 8K (might be dreaming on 8K incentices). With an April order the truck could roll on lot come June or July.

I have been considering going from a 5.3 to 6.2 but the dealer I went to could not find the exact options I wanted anywhere close to me. So they volunteered to order the 6.2 exactly how I wanted with no deposit. I was kind of surprised they brought the idea up and I asked about a deposit too. They said no need and if I don't want it due to lack of incentives when it arrives, that they'll sell it with all their other trucks. I'd be super reluctant to put non refundable deposit on anything where there is no set price or incentives. They could really mess you over with bonus tags etc. because they know you won't eat the $3k loss. Seems like they have all the pricing leverage once it arrives when you can't get a refund. Just wanted to share that not all dealers have the request and hope they are feeling generous once it comes in.

Every GM car and truck on a dealer lot was ordered by the dealer - that is how they do it ... (unless they get a vehicle from another dealer)

so a dealer offering to order for you is with $ 0 down is no big deal - I found the dealers in my state act like they are going out of their way to sit down and do it, and hence act like your request is more costly than a sale from their inventory .

just my experience ...

This is how I got my truck. The guy never picked it up so I got it for $15k off. It's exactly how I would have ordered it too. Slicktop so loads of headroom.

As I mentioned before, the price I get now is before incentives and TTL. So the plan is get thing down before I order and hope for the best on incentives once the truck rolls on the lot.

But you remind me of something that concerns me. If a dealer agrees to a price (before incentives and TTL), just for the sake of this conversation say that is $40K. If I get it in writing either in email or in person, can the dealer just turn around and change the price once the truck hits the lot? Are there different state laws on this?

I don't think you can, did you find a better price elsewhere?

Just got an offer of $790 lower from another dealer.

Finally starting to chip away at $$$ from this thing.

2017 Stone Blue Metallic Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition 4x2

MSRP $38.3K, $25.9K OTD.

DUH-AMN!!!!
