for a diesel? Laura is only taking 9-10 off. People are getting more than 45-48k for trade in.

Yes, for a diesel. I've seen Laura have SLT'S $45-50k and Denali's at $50-57k. If check thier site frequently you can find some crazy good deals.

I looked at Laura and while they are taking 14-15 off the 6.0s, the diesels are in the 10-11 range. check out the link below. Sticker is within $200 and I paid less and didn't have to travel from the east coast to St. Louis.

No need for me to look. Laura's price change on a daily basis. I've seen diesels reach $15-17k off sticker there. There usually 2 to 3 at that price and with them selling hundreds of trucks a month they go fast.

Hi All...I found this forum while researching a new car buy and just registered.

I am in the market to get into a new SIlverado 1500.

I have not played the game in a while (last purchase and current rig is a RAM - yeah yeah, I'll hold the target up), and am curious about the Costco program - The dealer already has the price marked down $3000 for anyone who wants as "special value price", then my Costco program seems it should add more discount - but I am not seeing that. If the Costco discount applies, does the dealer save the $3000 they are already offering? It looks as if they are substituting the discount but I am just not sure how it works.

Also - is it common to get email from a non dealer email address? I am getting contact from an @gmail address with signature stating delaership name. It is just odd...

Im trying to see if I can get more out of this deal.

The deal he sent me is as follows:

2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 Crew Cab LT

MSRP $48,940.00

Costco Pricing $45,986.95 (this is listed the same on the website as "special value price")
Title and Doc Fee $ 99.00
Total before discounts $46,085.95

National Rebate $ 1,000.00
Consumer Cash $ 1,000.00
Targeted Special Rebate $ 3,000.00

Price after rebates $41,085.95

You will also get a pre paid credit card from Costco amount varies by level of member ship
.

Do I have more room here? I have read the forum a bit and see I can dig around the websites for a "private offer". Which I may try to find as well.

Any opinions on this deal and info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Seems pretty high for a LT. You should be able to find LTZ's in that price range.

on 1500's - Dealer Invoice is non-sense paper, most trucks sell for less than Invoice

11% off MSRP is weak

most here got 15-20 % off

some here got 20% and more off

keep shopping / negotiating / Holiday sales are slow so good deals can be found especially at the last week of the month

GM Red Tag Sales will be showing up (as advertised on TV) ... and they may just offer 15 -20 % off the 2 trucks sitting on the lot the longest ... +-

Some people here have sent emails to dealership email sales people saying " I saw your truck (vin # xxx...) and I will buy it today for 20% off and got it. The dealer will pay no salesman commission and may just let it go ... pretty cheap

Lots full of trucks and they want your money - your in charge

also depends what State your in ... North East prices are somewhat less discounted than other areas

2016 GMC Sierra SLT Double Cab...MSRP 47370. got 14k (30%) off. had to pay a 269 document prep fee. 31375 out the door after approx 2300 in GM dollars. Also got $100 in GM accessories. Sales tax will be paid when I register it in my home state. Dealer gives you a 20 day temporary plate to drive it home from New Hampshire.

I know Laura had some good deals out there, but they were about 1000 miles from me. this dealer was about 100 miles

I talked to many dealers looking for the right truck. Not many would go more than 20% off

Sounds like a great deal. Did you buy it from Banks?

  • 1 month later...
  • 2 weeks later...

Finalized a deal on a 2017 CCSB LTZ Z71 this afternoon. Sticker was $59,485, out the door was $50,590. I qualify for GM Employee pricing, and the dealer took another $4k off of that, then threw on an additional $2,500 in incentives/bonus tags. Overall, I am very pleased with the deal. Before tags, title, tax, etc. I was at about 21% off of MSRP.

I'm going to say congrats! But there will be some on here who will say you could have done better. Pay no attention to them. Just enjoy the new truck and cheers.
