2016 Sierra CC 4x4 demo with 4200 miles on it, MSRP is $54850. They are offering it for $43678. Thoughts? What should I counter with?

I'd look at it as a 1 year old used truck. I'd offer them $38.5k out the door and if they don't take it buy a new 2017 for a couple grand more from Laura. Also I'd want that truck to have the 6.2L too.

That's kind of what I was thinking If they don't bite, I'll call Laura's.

I doubt that they are going to move too much on it. The minute you turn down the truck, they'll be able to sell it to the next person for the asking price.

I was presented with a similar situation and decided to jump on it. Could I have done better? Maybe, maybe not. But I found the exact truck I had been looking for for the last 3 months and was tired of looking. Sure it's easier to say just get a 2017, it's only a few thousand more. But in reality, it's probably going to be more like $5-6k more.

The biggest thing is, it's not the truck I've been looking for. I'd be settling for something that isn't 100% what I want. If I can find the truck I want, I'd be willing to spend a little more on it with under 100 miles.

I would keep looking then. No sense spending all this money on a truck that you're not totally satisfied with.

I agree with this. It is a decent amount of money to always be wishing it had this or it had that. Just buy the one you want when you find it.

Tomorrow I'm going to pick my 2017 Stone Blue Metallic GMC Sierra Crew Short Bed SLT 4x4 SLT Premium Package.

MSRP $53,270

Paid $42,226 before taxes.

I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal, but I'm impatient and wanted one now!

At almost 21% off MSRP your paying less than, my guess, 3 out of 4 buyers, for the most part

That's a very good deal - enjoy

It's looking like they're coming in around 10-13k below MSRP from all the research I've done.

That's what I was thinking. Some places apparently don't budge as much on prices though. I went to Banks today (Concord, NH) and they balked at anything in that ballpark, price wise.

I was looking at a '16 Elevation edition with 4WD. A basic work truck with a few extras. The sticker was $41.9k. The guy asked what I was thinking price wise...i threw out "around $12k off"...based on the fact that I've seen similarly equipped trucks listed online for $28-29k.

They didn't even counter and just said "we can't do anywhere near that." I'd do low $30's on an SLE, but to me...value wise...the Elevation edition is just not worth $30k+. I prefer the looks of the Sierra over the Silverado, but I might just end up doing a Silverado at the end of the day. They're just a better value.

Banks is the dealer that services my truck but I did not buy it there. We couldn't make the numbers work so I bought mine at Springfield GMC in Vermont. A 2 hour ride but it was worth it all said and done.

Looking to buy this '15 Silverado and wanted opinions on the price. This is in California

2015 Silverado LT Double Cab Standard Box

Price: $33,880 After Taxes/Title/etc

Mileage: 4,765

5.3 V8

Cloth interior

Tow Hitch

Bed Liner

Dual Exhaust

22" Wheels

Pros:

Very Low mileage

Truck has 22" black wheels and black front/back chevy emblems (I would get this done for any black silverado I'd buy so need to factor in the cost, specifically for the wheels)

Bed Liner (I would do this on any)

Already converted to Dual Exhaust (I would do this on any as well)

Cons:

Maybe a little expensive?

2015 so can't take advantage of any offers specific for brand new '16/'17's (I prefer the '14/'15 front end look)

Thoughts? Thanks
