Price paid?

Recommended Posts

After months of lurking on here I finally pulled the trigger today. I've been looking forward to being able to make this post!

2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT

MSRP Standard Vehicle Price $47,270

Installed Options Total $6,720

Option Package Discount $1,250

Destination Fee $1,195

Total MSRP $55,185

Price I'm paying is $42,228.

Here are the discounts from the all inclusive $55,185 price

  • GM Incremental Consumer Cash 2 - $1,000 Expires: 5/2/16
  • SELECT MODEL PURCHASE CASH 3 - $1,000 Expires: 5/2/16
  • Bonus Cash Program 4 - $1,500 Expires: 5/2/16
  • Consumer Cash Program 5 - $1,000
  • GMC Private Offer - $1500
  • Additional Dealer Discount - $4,457
  • Cash Allowance on Sticker - $2,500
Total Discount is $12,957 off of the "top" MSRP
I think doc fee is a very reasonable $183.50 so still a pretty good deal overall even when that little extra is included ($42,411.50). I left out tax and registration info because that varies from state to state. They're charging me $425 to deliver the truck to me on Tuesday. It's a 6+ hour (one way) drive battling Atlanta traffic along the way, so I thought that was more than fair.

Not sure how many Lease folks are around here.. But here's how I came out..

2016 Sierra 1500 Denali - Blue

MSRP - $58,010

Agreed Price - $50,085

Taxes - $3,130

Money down - $0

Money Factor - 0.00149 (they tried to pull a fast one marking up the MF to .00223)

Residual - 72%

Final payment - $484

I actually may get a few bucks more off too if I can manage to get the private offer for $1,500.. may put me below $450 :driving: As I haven't signed papers officially yet.

Texas taxes really make a lease more difficult to work out.. Paying tax on the full amount of the vehicle vs paying tax on just the portion you lease.. otherwise there is every chance it would have came out less than $400!

I'm interested in leasing. What incentives did this include?

$1500 - Competitive lease Conquest, or something like that.. basically because I lease a vehicle from another manufacturer

$1500 - Private offer

$500 - for something I cannot remember

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be difficult to get the agreed price even lower than I got mine though.

Ok thanks for the info. Any tips on private offer? The only pop-up I seem to get is for quotes.

I've been trying to get one for a few weeks now. Using every browser I never got one until yesterday morning I just had one pop-up using Chrome on my phone.

Will the offers work on Silverado or Sierra? Or do I need to be on gmc site for a Sierra?

Yes you do. You would need to get a GMC specific offer. They are not universal.

Hey everyone. I've been checking out this site for a few days and need a price check on a new 2015 Silverado Crew Cab, Regular Bed, 4 wheel drive, Lt w/ 1Lt and all star package, it was a demo car with 2300 miles on it. Sticker is $45.365. Dealer is offering $32,795 before TTL. This is my first truck and first domestic. Seems like a decent deal but I rather ask you all since I'm sure the 2017 will be out soon. The only catch which I thought was weird is the factory warranty will be reduced by 5 months since the vehicle was put to use in November 2015. Does this sound right?

Have you compared it to what you could get a brand new one for? Will you show up as the second owner on Carfax? The numbers are ok IMO but if you could get a brand new one for 35k I'd do that all day long. The warranty is shorter these days so that is something to consider also.

I did the same deal at my local dealership, same truck/year... cept mine have 4000 miles on it. I think i got mine for around 31k before ttl... so ya, your deal sounds the same. I wasn't worried at all about the warranty, few thousand miles isn't gonna make a diff. And it was still considered a new first owner vehicle, I financed through my bank. and I also got it bed lined free too... must have been scratched. so that was another 5-6 hundred i saved.

I have compared but the prices are a few thousand out of my price range. I'm supposed to close the deal this weekend and hope that they can come down a bit more to make it a much better deal even taking account the miles. Hoping I can also work in a extended warranty. I know they suck but I am sort of paranoid. It seems that the trucks are moving in my area so dealers will not make super deals that I keep seeing on here. Thanks for the carfax suggestion. I checked and it shows up as a new vehicle, unregistered. Your right about the 2016's the warranty issue becomes a wash with them.

I put a refundable deposit on this truck as this dealer had 4 2015's and by the time I had time to see them in person, two were sold. Three were demo's and the 4th has 5 miles but they are not willing to go as low as the demo I'm looking at. I'm hoping to get down to where you are. With my trade, I'll be between 400 to 450 a month with my trade which I can live with. Thanks for the info.

After a lot of searching I finally made a purchase. I also found a dealer that would beat Laura.

2016 GMC Sierra SLT Crew Z71

Had a great dealer, easy to work with. Didn't feel like a number.

$54,525 MSRP

OTD $41,744 with dealer fees.

Price is before TTL. In NE we pay the taxes when we tittle and license.

I did use a PO. I'm sure I could have done better if I waited until the fall. I'm loving it so far.
